Hello guys. I hope you are all doing well. I am back in this community after a week with a new Splinterlands character fanart. As you might have guessed from the title, his name is Serpentine Mystic and he looks like a dangerous character. In this blog, I will share with you the process of creating this character fanart, along with the basics of color shades and sketches so that you guys can learn from my art. Let's start with the process.
Procedure
First I sketched his mouth and one hand and the outline of his mouth was a bit difficult because his teeth and neck was very complicated. I made the sketch on a local paper and it was difficult to use the poster colors on local paper.
Now I sketched the clothes and his other hand and sketching the other hand was more difficult than the clothes but finally I made a good sketch and I am glad that I made a good sketch because it plays an important role in giving your art a very realistic look.
First I filled his overcoat with red marker color because I have 12 colors of marker and if I need any shade other than them then I make poster color. Then I filled his face and hands with green marker color.
Now I filled the yellow color in his neck and brown poster color in his stick which is shaped like a snake. I find using poster colors in art to be a very satisfying process. The colors chosen for this character are ones that makes it dangerous and I also added some details to his clothes.
Now I made a brownish shade for the robe and after filling that brown color in the clothes I outlined it with a black pointer and that was the final step. I completed this drawing in about two hours and had a lot of fun while making it. I hope you liked the method of this drawing and don't forget to give me your feedback about this art.
