Hello! Happy Monday and start of the week! I hope you had a wonderful and fun-filled weekend. Today I've been feeling creative and have been busy making a little something. Today I'm going to show you how I made a fabric butterfly to attach to a plain hair clip. After much thought, I decided to make a cute butterfly. Making this butterfly isn't difficult, nor does it require many materials. It only takes a piece of fabric, or you could also use foam, but I chose fuchsia fabric because it really stood out. I also want to mention that I want this to be part of a project. I think it's a very colorful hair accessory that adds style and personality to any outfit you want to wear outdoors. Once again, this is a craft project using recycled materials to help the planet, and best of all, it's handmade!
Materiales/Materials
- Retazos de tela de suéter color fucsia y morado
- Aguja de mano con hilo ya puesto
- Tijeras
- Pinza para el cabello
- Lápiz
- Scraps of fuchsia and purple sweater fabric
- Hand needle with thread already attached
- Scissors
- Hair clip
- Pencil
Paso a paso/Step by step
Paso 1
Step 1
I wanted to draw the butterfly's silhouette first, to be sure of how it would look and also because of the size. Then I traced the drawing onto the fabric and carefully cut it out.
Paso 2
Step 2
Then I moved on to sewing the middle part, and I sewed while carefully pulling the fabric until it looked more like the shape of a butterfly.
Paso 3
Step 3
Continuing with this step, I cut a thick strip and a thinner one from the purple fabric. I sewed the thicker one around the middle part of the butterfly, and then I attached the thin strip, which are the antennae, and secured them by tying a knot.
Paso 4
Step 4
Finally, place the butterfly between the tweezers and the center part of the butterfly, and this way, without glue, you can also place this decoration. Now all that's left is to use this cute hair accessory.
Resultado/Result
This is how the hair clip looks. At first glance, you can see the fuchsia color. I enjoyed making this craft and sharing it with you all. Thank you for visiting this post. And tell me in the comments what you think of this butterfly. Thanks for your support, see you soon!
