Hello to all the members of this community and craft lovers! Today I would like to show you how I made some plushies from the game Summoners War, especially for my boyfriend on his birthday 😌 A couple of years ago, I had already made him a Devilmon plushie, from the same game (something he wanted) and after hearing from him that he wanted to have an Angelmon plushie, I knew it was a good opportunity, taking advantage of the fact that his birthday was approaching.
After examining the character designs in question, I became even more inspired because they weren't that complicated, basically consisting of a little head with wings and a halo. I had an idea of how to make them. He was supposed to want one (the white one), but since I had fabric to make the other colors, I decided to make the ones I saw in the picture (I missed the rainbow version, so maybe I'll make that for him later 😌).
To begin, I cut the double pieces corresponding to the character's body in the five colors. I used a pattern I have for making the heads of some miniature plush toys. Luckily, I was able to find some spandex fabric among my scraps, which is recommended for the plush toys to feel soft and not stiff.
The next thing I did was make the eyes. There are many ways to make eyes on stuffed animals, from painting them with fabric paint, embroidering them, or simply gluing on googly eyes, buttons, or beads. In this case, I opted for embroidery because I didn't have any fabric paint. I did this process by hand-stitching, stretching the fabric a little as I made some seams that filled the circle I traced with a piece of carbon paper. It wasn't perfect, but I really liked the result. I suppose it would have been better to embroider the eyes first before cutting the pieces, but that's something I'll try another time.
✨It's not clear in the reference image, but the white and purple characters have different colored eyes. After some research, I saw that they have blue and red eyes, respectively, so I tried to retain that detail. ✨
After this, I moved on to joining the body pieces together, using my sewing machine. I made sure to leave an opening at the top and make small notches in the curved areas. This allows the fabric to give when the figure is turned over, preventing it from looking square.

To stuff small stuffed animals, you can use batting or stuffing, but if you don't have any, you can also cut small pieces of fabric. I like to save all the leftover fabric, no matter how small, since some stuffed animals are better stuffed with scraps of fabric, as it adds strength to the figure. However, since I wanted them to be soft, the best option was to use special stuffing. After stuffing them to the desired size, I closed the opening where I turned the pieces out with a hand seam. With this, I had what would become the "body" ready.
Next, I moved on to the details, such as the halo and wings. To make the former, I used a piece of gold-colored satin fabric (or copper, I don't know 😆). I cut the strips of fabric and closed them with a straight seam, adding a zigzag securing seam, and also burned the edges, since the fabric frays a lot. Once this was done, I turned the piece over and divided it into five pieces, each of which I filled with stuffing to give it shape.
Finally, I joined both ends with a hand seam, obtaining some deformed halos 😆 It occurred to me that to be able to give it an oval shape, it would be an option to introduce a small piece of sweet wire inside (but I didn't have any, so, we'll have to learn for next time 😉).

To glue the halos to the plush bodies, I used hot glue. You can also do it by hand sewing, but I admit I found this method quite tedious 😆 Thanks to the hot glue, I was able to give the halos a somewhat oval shape.
At this point, all that was missing were the wings. I first made the pattern on a small piece of paper to get the size I needed. I had thought about making them using white felt, but the felt I had was too thick (it's hard to cut with fabric scissors), so I was going to have a hard time cutting such small pieces. So I decided to use white plush fabric, which I had left over from a project years ago. This way, I cut five pairs of double wings, or 20 pieces.
Next, I joined the two pieces together at the edges with white thread, hand-stitching. To make the inner details of the wings, I used a gold thread I had in my sewing box, trying to embroider the silhouette. It wasn't easy, since it's a type of coated thread that, when the cover broke, I had to tie a knot to keep the gold part in place 😭 Luckily, I was able to have all five pairs ready. It wasn't necessary to stuff them, since the fabric had a "spongy" texture, which gave volume to the wings. They weren't perfect, but I really liked how it enhanced the golden color of the thread. It's beautiful! But tedious to use haha.
The final step was to attach these wings to the sides of the plush toys, using hand stitching. I don't enjoy hand stitching sometimes, but at this point, I was already excited.
This way, I had all the Angelmon ready. 😇 I really liked how the wings turned out, because they can move without being all stiff. It's been a while since I made a plushie, so this project was fun. What did you think? ⭐️

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de las manualidades! El día de hoy me gustaría mostrarles cómo fue que hice unos peluches del juego Summoners War, especialmente para mi novio en su cumpleaños 😌 Hace un par de años, yo ya le había hecho un peluche de Devilmon, del mismo juego (algo que él quería) y luego de escuchar de su parte que quería tener un peluche de Angelmon, supe que era una buena oportunidad, aprovechando que su cumpleaños estaba cerca.
Luego de examinar el diseño de los personajes en cuestión, me animé mucho más, porque no eran tan complicados, ya que básicamente están compuestos por una cabecita con alas y una aureola en la cabeza. Tenía una idea de cómo hacerlos. Se suponía que él quería uno (el blanco), pero como tenía tela para hacer los otros colores, decidí hacerle los que vi en la imagen (me faltó hacer la versión arcoíris, puede ser que luego, se la realice 😌).
Para comenzar, corté las piezas dobles, correspondientes al cuerpo del personaje en los cinco colores. Utilicé un patrón que tengo para hacer la cabeza de unos peluches en miniatura. Por suerte, pude conseguir entre mis retazos, las telas licradas, lo cual es recomendable para que los peluches se sientan suaves y no queden tiesos.
Lo siguiente que hice, fue realizarle los ojos. Hay muchas formas de hacer los ojos en peluches, desde pintarlos con pinturas de tela, bordarlos o simplemente pegarles ojos movibles, botones o canutillo. En éste caso, opté por la opción del bordado, porque no tenía pintura de tela. Éste proceso lo hice con una costura a mano, estirando un poco la tela a medida que realizaba unas costuras que llenasen la figura del círculo que tracé gracias a un trozo de papel carbón. No quedó perfecto, pero me gustó mucho el resultado. Supongo que hubiese sido mejor primero bordar los ojos antes de cortar las piezas, pero eso es algo que probaré en otra ocasión.
✨En la imagen de referencia no se aprecia, pero el personaje de color blanco y el violeta, tienen los ojos de un color diferente. Luego de investigar, vi que los tienen de color azul y rojo respectivamente, así que traté de mantener ese detalle ✨
Luego de esto, pasé a unir las piezas correspondiente al cuerpo, utilizando mi máquina de coser y procurando dejar una abertura en la parte superior y hacer pequeños piquetes en las partes curvas. Eso permite que, al voltear la figura, la tela ceda y no luzca cuadrada.

Para rellenar peluches pequeños se puede utilizar guata o relleno, pero si no se tiene, también se puede aplicar la de cortar pequeños de retazos de tela. Me gusta guardar todo resto de tela, por más pequeños que estos sean, ya que algunos peluches quedan mejor rellenos de trocitos de tela, porque le aporta dureza a la figura. Pero, como quería que fueran suaves, la opción más idónea, era la de utilizar relleno especial para ello. Tras rellenarlos y obtener el tamaño esperado, procedí a cerrar la abertura por donde volteé las piezas, con una costura a mano. Ya con esto, tenía lo que vendría siendo el "cuerpo" listo.
Lo siguiente, fue pasar a los detalles, como lo eran la aureola y las alas. Para hacer las primeras, utilicé un trozo de tela satinada de color dorado (o cobre, no sé 😆). Corté las tiras de tela y las cerré con una costura recta, añadiéndole una costura de seguridad en zig zag, así como quemé los bordes, ya que la tela se deshilacha mucho. Una vez hecho esto, volteé la pieza y la segmenté en cinco trozo, a los cuales les coloqué relleno para darle forma.
Finalmente, uní ambos extremos con una costura a mano, obteniendo unas aureolas deformes 😆 Se me ocurrió que para poder darle una forma ovalada, sería una opción introducirle por dentro, un pedacito de alambre dulce (pero no tenía, así que, nos queda el aprendizaje para la próxima 😉).

Para pegar las aureolas a los cuerpos de los peluches, utilicé silicón caliente. También se puede hacer con una costura a mano, pero admito que éste método me pareció bastante tedioso 😆 Gracias al silicón, pude darle un poco la forma ovalada a las aureolas.
En éste punto, sólo faltaban las alas. El patrón lo hice primero en un trocito de papel, para conseguir el tamaño que necesitaba. Había pensado en realizarlas utilizando fieltro de color blanco, pero el que tenía, era demasiado grueso (me cuesta cortarlo con la tijera para cortar tela), así que iba a sufrir cortando piezas tan pequeñas. Así que decidí usar tela peluche blanca, que me sobró hace años de un proyecto. De esta forma, corte cinco pares de alas dobles, es decir, 20 piezas.
Después, uní ambas piezas en los bordes con hilo blanco, con una costura a mano. Para hacer los detalles internos de las alas, utilicé un hilo dorado que tenía en mi caja de costura, tratando de bordar la silueta. No fue nada sencillo, ya que es una especie de hilo forrado que, cuando se rompía la cubierta, bebía hacer un nudo para mantener la parte dorada 😭 Por suerte, pude tener los cinco pares listos. No fue necesario rellenarlas, ya que la tela tenía una textura "esponjosa", que le daba volumen a las alas. No quedaron perfectas, pero me gustó mucho como realzaba el color dorado del hilo ¡Es hermoso! Pero tedioso de usar jaja.
Lo último, fue unir estas alas a los laterales de los peluches, con una costura a mano. No disfruto cosiendo a mano a veces, pero en esta parte, ya estaba emocionada.
De esta forma, tuve listos todos los Angelmon 😇 Me gustó muchísimo como quedaron las alas, porque se pueden mover sin quedar todas tiesas. Tenía bastante tiempo sin hacer peluches, así que fue divertido realizar éste proyecto ¿Qué les pareció? ⭐️
