A wonderful evening to all the hiveans on the hive blockchain.how are we all doing this evening.am sure we are all bouncing great.is still your girl veemahfashion and once again I have come to share with us my little ideas on how i made this short beautiful bubu gown.
These are the tools i uses to achieve this;
----- my tape roll
----- my ruler
----- my tailors chalk
----- my measurement book
----- Ankara fabric.
I started by folding the ankara fabric into four places using the biggest round circumference divided by four plus four inches allowance.
I first of all took the full length of the cloth i want to cut.i mark it and added two inches hemming allowance. I went back to the top and from the folded edge i measured i took the shoulder measurements divided by two,i mark and from where I mark i also measured fourteen inches for the sleeve and from there I come down by two inches for shoulder slope after which from that point I took eleven inches for the sleeve opening.
From that eleven inches which is the sleeve opening i draw a straight line across and that becomes the burst point.i placed the round burst measurements divided by four plus four inches allowance.from the top i measured down sixteen and half inches for the waist and I placed the exact measurement at the burst line on the waist line and I also measured from the top down to twenty- four inches for the hip. and I also placed the exact measurements i have on the burst line on that hip line.
Now i also went back to the top and from the folded edge i meaaured three inches width for both the front and the back and one inch dipth for the back and nine inches for the front dipth. and from that nine inches i took one and half inches (1.5") down. I went through my measurements and then cut off the one and half inches (1.5")on that folded edge only on the front piece and also cut off the other remainings. on the other side.
I moved straight to the sewing machine, join the both shoulders and measured round the front piece which I cut off and I want to replace it with ashoke.
I multiplied what I measured by two on the ashoke,fold it into two and from the centre back line i measured down to eleven inches which I took at the front .
Guys i joined the bodice and the sleeve
I also fix a tasul design at the front the bubu gown looks so beautiful at the end.
Thank you all guys for all your wonderful comments ,votes and for always liking my post i truly appreciate.
So here is the finished work guys.
