Por este lado de la pantalla todo bien gracias a Dios feliz de estar una vez más aquí compartiendo con ustedes una de mis creaciones, en esta oportunidad en honor al Día del libro, la cual es celebrada el 23 de Abril a nivel mundial con el fin de fomentar la lectura, y para ello realice un marca libros en forma de lápiz, sin mas a que hacer referencia…

🙋♀️ Hello beautiful and creative people! I hope you’re all doing great and have had days filled with wonderful moments. On this side of the screen, everything is fine, thank God. I’m happy to be here once again sharing one of my creations with you—this time in honor of World Book Day, which is celebrated worldwide on April 23 to promote reading. For this occasion, I made a pencil-shaped bookmark. Without further ado…

¿Cuál es el proceso?/ What is the process?⬇️
✏️ Paso 1 / Step1
En cartulina naranja realice la silueta del lápiz, siendo solo la primera capa del marca libros, para la siguiente y dar algo de altura entre otra capa pegue tres tiras de foami una encima de otra y recorte en cuadros pequeños, luego lo agregue en varios puntos alrededor del lápiz naranja.
On orange cardstock, trace the outline of the pencil—this will be the first layer of the bookmark. For the next layer, to add some height, glue three strips of foam sheet on top of each other, cut them into small squares, and then attach them at various points around the orange pencil.

✏️ Paso 2 / Step 2
Seguidamente realice dos capas más una marrón y otra amarilla, pero esta última le deje los orificios simulando el borrador y la punta del lápiz, con el foami se puede ver las capas y la altura entre cada color
Next, add two more layers—one brown and one yellow—but leave holes in the yellow layer to simulate the eraser and the tip of the pencil; with the foam, you can see the layers and the height between each color

✏️ Paso 3 / Step 3
Para decorar el lápiz, en cartulina negra realice líneas muy finas para culminar en la capa amarilla del lápiz y así reafirmar la forma del lápiz.
To decorate the pencil, draw very thin lines on black cardstock that extend onto the yellow part of the pencil to emphasize its shape.

✏️ Paso 4 / Step 4
Posteriormente con hilo pabilo realice una pequeña borla para que la misma sobresaliera cuando el marca libros estuviese dentro del libro, a su vez en foami coloque “23 de abril: Día del libro”, para resaltar esta importante fecha.
Next, I used some twine to make a small tassel so that it would stick out when the bookmark was inside the book. I also cut out “April 23: Book Day” from foam board to highlight this important date.

El proceso es muy sencillo, y con materiales muy fácil de conseguir, una manualidad linda para fomentar esta increíble día, la lectura nos ayuda a viajar en el tiempo, conocer muchas culturas, y sobretodo cultivar nuestra mente.
