La Temporada de Graduaciones llegó, hagamos manualidades / Graduation season is here, let's do some crafts!

Ya las clases están finalizando y con esto empieza la época de Graduaciones en Educación inicial, escolar, media y diversificada; y las celebraciones son no solo en las instituciones educativas, también se realizan en casa con familiares, amigos, con otros graduandos, etc. Es decir, que definitivamente es una temporada que pasa rápido pero hay que disfrutarla y también aprovecharla para crear diferentes manualidades con esa temática.

El día de hoy les traigo una propuesta de Souvenir, se trata de un Birrete de Graduación con foamis escarchados para darle mucho resalte, y un envase realizado con acetato para poder ver el contenido que le obsequiaremos. Esto se puede hacer del tamaño que desees, en función de lo que quieras colocar adentro... Bienvenidos.

Classes are ending, and with this, the graduation season begins in early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school. Celebrations are not only held at educational institutions, but also at home with family, friends, other graduates, and more. In other words, it's definitely a season that passes quickly, but we should enjoy it and also take advantage of it to create different crafts with that theme.

Today, I'm bringing you a souvenir proposal: a graduation cap with frosted foam to really make it pop, and an acetate container so you can see the contents we'll be giving away. This can be made in any size you like, depending on what you want to put inside... Welcome.

Primero comenzaré con el envase realizado reciclando el acetato de una botella de refresco. Corté la parte central que está más lisa, y formé un espiral que pegué con silicón caliente. Recuerda que el tamaño es totalmente personal. En mi caso, voy a introducir de obsequio unas monedas de chocolate, así que no necesitaba que fuese tan grande.

Con el foami escarcha de color negro, marco la forma del aro que formé y lo recorto, esto será la base o fondo.

First, I'll start with the container I made by recycling the acetate from a soda bottle. I cut off the smoother center and formed a spiral, which I glued with hot glue. Remember that the size is entirely individual. In my case, I'm adding some chocolate coins as a gift, so I didn't need it to be that big.

With the black glitter foam, I outline the shape of the ring I created and cut it out. This will be the base or bottom.

La base la pegué del aro de acetato con silicón caliente, puede ser silicón líquido también, lo que mejor se pueda manejar. También corté una tira del mismo foami escarchado negro de 1cms aproximadamente, y lo pegué en la base tapando la unión anterior.

I glued the base to the acetate ring with hot silicone. You can also use liquid silicone, whichever you like best. I also cut a strip of the same black frosted foam, approximately 1 cm long, and glued it to the base, covering the previous seam.

Hice otro aro de foami escarchado, ahora de 2cms considerando la forma o tamaño del envase de acetato realizado anteriormente.

Ahora, este aro de foami negro lo uso para marcar dos cuadrados iguales, los cuales pego entre sí. Ya con estas piezas comenzaré a formar la parte de arriba del birrete que será la tapa del envase también.

I made another frosted foam ring, this time measuring 2 cm, considering the shape or size of the acetate container I made earlier.

Now, I use this black foam ring to mark two identical squares, which I glue together. With these pieces, I'll begin forming the top of the mortarboard, which will also be the lid of the container.

Para dejar puntas bien prolijas, limpio todos los bordes con regla y cúter, este detalle es muy importante, es un tiempo necesario para aportarle buenos acabados de nuestra manualidad.

Ahora, puedo unir este aro a los cuadrados, los cuales los hice con esas dos piezas para darle más rigidez al birrete y también que se vea el escarchado por todos sus lados.

To leave the tips neat, I clean all the edges with a ruler and a utility knife. This detail is very important; it takes time to give our craft a good finish.

Now, I can attach this ring to the squares, which I made with those two pieces to give the cap more rigidity and also to show the frosting on all sides.

Así queda lista la parte de arriba del birrete y el envase, ahora como siempre la parte más divertida es agregar y agregar detalles de decoración hasta que nos guste.

Corté en el foami escarchado dorado una tira muy delgada, para colocarla en el borde del birrete, y otra para que sea la tira que cuelga de los birretes.

That's how the top of the cap and the container are done. Now, as always, the most fun part is adding more decorative details until we're happy with them.

I cut a very thin strip of gold glitter foam to place on the edge of the cap, and another to be the strip that hangs from the caps.

La borla que cuelga del birrete la hice con el mismo foami escarchado dorado, cortando un rectángulo, haciendo cortes tipo flecos y luego envolviendo y pegando para cerrar, dejando el extremo de la tira en el centro.

Otra tira dorada para la parte inferior del birrete, lo hará lucir más bello.

I made the tassel hanging from the cap with the same gold frosted foam. I cut a rectangle, made fringe-like cuts, and then wrapped and glued it shut, leaving the end of the strip in the center.

Another gold strip for the bottom of the cap will make it look even more beautiful.

Arriba de la tira de la borla del birrete, hice como un título o diploma, con un pedacito de papel, aunque yo use foami blanco porque tenía unos cortes guardado y de verdad que uno siempre aprovecha esos pedacitos de otros proyectos, nunca boten nada.

El diploma lo pegué arriba, tal como ves en las fotos.

Above the cap tassel strip, I made something like a title or diploma with a small piece of paper. I used white foam because I had some scraps of paper I'd saved up, and you can always use those scraps from other projects. Never throw anything away.

I glued the diploma on top, just as you can see in the photos.

Puedes hacer varios diseños de birretes, con diferentes materiales, incluso de diferentes colores, no necesariamente tienen que ser negros. Este diseño es solo una propuesta, pero el diseño es totalmente libre de la creatividad de cada uno y de la utilidad que le vayamos a dar.

You can create various cap designs, using different materials, even different colors; they don't necessarily have to be black. This design is just a suggestion, but the design is entirely up to each individual's creativity and the intended use.

Este Souvenir sería para darlo en una fiesta del salón de clases o en una fiesta de niños graduandos, con un detalle de monedas de chocolates.

This souvenir would be a great gift for a classroom party or a graduating class, with a small gift of chocolate coins.
