Ghost of Hive

Yesterday I spent some time designing a new image. The result...

As you can see I am a big fan of blue and green, plus I love nature and feel that this does a great job of giving off that vibe. My design is a mixture of the ocean and the forest. After finishing the design, I brought it into iMovie to begin turning it into my new intro.

Recently I designed this intro for my friend and used a water theme for The Wayve. I love how it turned out, but shortly after finishing it I wondered why I didn't have a cool intro for myself. One of my reasons for not having one is because I haven't been making much video content here lately. However since I recently ordered my new iMac, I know much more video content is incoming. Sure I could have paid a design company to make my intro for me, but I would rather do it myself.

I began work on Hive account@daltono's new intro. MY NEW INTRO.

Again I focused on keeping things elemental. I knew I wanted to include sounds that were like the image, an extension of my personality. So I pulled from my favorite video game of all time, Ghost of Tsushima. I decided upon a snippet from the song titled "Komodo Beach". You can listen to the full Ghost of Tsushima album here. I actually accelerated playback of the song 133% to make it work for my shorter intro. It slightly altered the sound, but worked perfectly for my needs.

I also added some simple text with a sound effect. At first I wasn't sure it would work well with the Japanese themed music, but I do like it. The two together feel like a futuristic Ghost of Tsushima with upgraded agility attributes.

You may also notice that the leaves are falling now unlike in the still design I created. All of this together works as a new intro that I am extremely pleased with. I am happy to be able to create for myself, rather than having to rely on someone else with the skill. I absolutely cannot wait to start making some new videos very soon. The first time that I get to use this intro will be a special moment for me. I'm planning on using Hive account@threespeak a lot more rather than YouTube once the videos start rolling out.

My recent collections

I haven't had a chance to talk about this yet.

Hive account@peakd has introduced an awesome new feature that allows you to combine several posts into one beautiful post. It is a great way of showcasing many posts about a similar subject. I am going to be creating a lot more collections in the future.

So far I have published these three collections:

I mention this for multiple reasons.

One being that I absolutely think everyone should start looking at collections. There are so many awesome new things that we can do with this amazing feature. I want to thank Hive account@peakd for giving us yet another thing that I have been dying to have. The development over there seems to be nonstop, I don't know how they do it.

I also mention collections since it relates to my love for Ghost of Tsushima. In My 100% Completion PlayStation Games collection I feature a blog about Ghost of Tsushima. It is definitely worth viewing if you haven't already.

To sum up this blog... I have a new intro and we all have collections to experiment with. Exciting times. Each and every day I become more and more accustomed to functioning on Hive. This is an ever-changing place, which makes it hard to keep up sometimes.
