Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia!

By the time most of you read this, we will have rolled over to 2022, so Smudge and I want to take a moment to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

It will be a quiet evening around here; the Hoomans are staying home, in part because it's so freezing cold and the roads are icy, and in part because they really care about us and make sure we are not scared by fireworks popping off.

We just had a few treats from the Hoomans' stew they had for dinner, and now we're all going to settle in and watch a movie until a little before midnight.

We're going to watch The Matrix Resurrections; I know already that I am going to like it because it has a black cat in it... and that Keanu Reeves guy, he likes cats!

I think most of us will be happy to see the end of 2021, just like we were happy to see the end of 2020. These have been a couple of difficult years for many of us. We can only hope that 2022 is a better year... I suppose only time will tell.

I'm not going to speculate on goals and accomplishments for the year ahead because this is just a quick New Year's post; we'll be back with a proper New Year's Caturday post later. However, we will do our best to be optimistic about good things being on the road ahead.

And with that, I'm going to get back to my soft blanket and movie watching!

Cat Snaps by Hive account@manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by Hive account@saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by Hive account@andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by Hive account@captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
