Sometimes we need to try new things and maybe it will change your perspective on your life or maybe in the future, it will create a beautiful memory. For example, last week, I try something new from a video I see on my social media homepage.
I just learn about something new, they call it TEPACHE. They said you could easily make soda from a pineapple you have at home. What? Soda? How could ordinary water become soda? I thought about it rationally, and it seemed impossible.
Often we try things cause we don't believe them, but is not it better to prove it? I try to making soda from pineapple, and it's say to be a good probiotic for digestion. I buy a fairly small pineapple, just one, and I wash it very thoroughly to remove any dirt (like dust and sand that could settle in the drink).
Ingredients:
- Whole pineapple (small)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 drops stevia
- 500 ml water
- Ginger and cinnamon to taste
Can you imagine make a soda drink from the ingredients above? I guess I still could not believe it when I started make tepache.
Even though I still have some doubts about this recipe, I juts make it happen. I start by peel the pineapple and not throw away the skin. I still use the skin, and I puree the pineapple in a blender.
I cut the pineapple skin into small pieces so it can fit into this 1 liter glass. Then I pour in the puree pineapple and added more water until the glass was almost full.
I add 2 tsp honey and two drops of stevia for sweetness. The final touches were cinnamon and ginger for a more traditional taste, make this a truly tropical drink.
It turns out make tepache is not that complicate, but it do require patience cause it takes at least 2 days to ferment. I only use it for two days to prevent the fructose from convert to alcohol, and I left it in the refrigerator for one day to slow down the fermentation process.
With a few ice cubes and pour into a glass, this drink is incredibly flavorfull and nutritious during a hot summer like this! Give it a try!
See you the next time hive friends!

Hi! Let me introduce myself, its me Wita.
I'm just a woman who wants to write whatever's on my mind. I really enjoy cooking, occasionally traveling, and doing whatever I like. I want to live like a bird flying freely in nature. But I know I'm only human. So, I can only write freely like a bird that can fly with its two wings.
I'm usually very interested in new things. Let me be creative with at least these writings. I welcome any suggestions, as long as you mention them politely in the comments section. We can have a free discussion every now and then.
Don't think too much of me as you see in my posts. I'm just sharing what I have, and some of it is actually quite enjoyable to post. It's just that I don't really like posting bad things. I hope we continue to work together to build this Hive community.
