Hi, Amazing Drinks community! This time, I'll show you a hot drink from Cebu. But I'm doing something different from the usual process.
Tableya in Cebuano is what we call the Cacao Tablets you can see in the photo. Cacao tablets will turn into Sikwate, hot cocoa drinks for us in Cebuano. You can easily melt the cacao tablets in boiling water. But I made something different.
I'm using a blender here so I took four tablets of cacao and put it inside together with milk and sugar.
Preparation
I started to blend, I used two cups of milk with four tablets of cacao.
Blend, blend, blend!
Shake, shake, shake!
I am just testing how smooth it could be to blend the milk and the cacao tablets.
Shake, shake, shake. Blend, blend, blend.
I decided to put the blended milk and cacao tablets in a mug and put it in the microwave to hot the drink.
Haha. It felt so weird. I realized I was just wasting my time and electricity for doing this. I could just simply boil the cacao tablets with water or milk.
Well yeah, it tastes good as the usual cacao drink. I still prefer melting the cacao tablets with water or milk.
And that's just me trying to be complicated. For milkshake drinks, it is best to pair it with fruits. :D
