Today, I will be making coconut (Cocos nucifera) juice with a combination of Date (Phoenix dactylifera) and Tiger nut (Cyperus esculentus). These natural fruits have numerous benefits when consumed.
Ingredients:
- Coconut (300g)
- Date (5g)
- Tiger nut (10g)
- Sugar (2 tablespoons)
Procedure:
As you can see the ingredients are few but trust me when I say the outcome tastes so good than the amount of money spent to get it done, hehe so let's get to work and see how I transformed this healthy fruit into a healthy juice.
I broke the coconut, then removed it from the shell, rinsed it, and set it aside. While I continue with some other things.
I soaked the Dates overnight to make them soft for blending. I rinsed them, opened them to remove the seeds because it would prevent them from blending, and then poured them into the blender.
I rinsed the tiger nuts and added them to the blender as well.
I added the coconut which I had already cut into pieces, then I added two tablespoons of sugar and of course the coconut water into the blender. Because I don't want to waste the coconut water.
Lastly, I added two teacups of water for blending.
I blended the mixture for three minutes to make sure it was smooth.
I placed a sieve over a clean bowl, poured the blended mixture into it, and stirred with a tablespoon until all the juice was out.
I threw the shafts away because I didn't need them anymore.
I poured the juice into a jar for refrigeration, meanwhile, you can choose to have it warm but I love it chilled.
