I have a subscription with Naked Wines. Here's a referal link if you're interested.
With Naked Wines you can save a little each month and, when you have sufficient credit, have a case of wine delivered to your door. They aren't worldwide, but are available in UK, USA, and Australia.
I live in the UK (Cornwall to be more precise). My general wine preference are white, and Italian. Those are mainly budget restrictions, though my preference for Italian wines stems from time spent working at Scotland's oldest delicatessan, Valvona & Crolla Unbudgeted I move to vintage Krug and some serious Barolo as preferences.
The wine I'm presenting today as an Amazing Drink is a 2021 Pecorino from Christian Patat.
Pecorino is a little known and used wine which is generally from the Marche & Abruzzo regions of Italy.
This offering of the wine is light and bright with a gentle sharpness somewhere between a soave and pinot grigio.
I like it alone, but would easily pair it with dishes like a seafood risotto, any white fish, chicken dishes which do not rely on heavy tomato sauces, and meals with a strong and rich cheese element.
While I enjoy a very cool white wine, and this one holds well in the 5-10c (41-50f) range, it opens up nicely around 15c (59f).
As with many Italian whites there is a pleasant citrus element to the wine, but there are also more gentle fruity notes and as the wine warms they become more floral.
My appreciation for this wine is such that I have a subscription for 6 bottles from each vintage. Knowing the 2023 grapes are underway gives me a small moment of satisfaction.
