So excited to share with you again amazing people, and today I will not be sharing one of those delicious and sweet drinks 🍹 but a healing drink you will love 💕 to incorporate in your daily lifestyle as health is the ultimate to life.
This however means that we need to also and always try new drinks especially those that will continually boost our immune for good health. And that was what I did today by combining four (4) ingredients to make a healing tonic while the cold 🥶 still lingers.
Why Tonic? Because these four (4) ingredients used in this recipe which is Turmeric, Garlic 🧄, Onions 🧅 and Lime 🍋boiled into substance becomes medicinal which when ingested gives us the feeling of vigor or well-being .
So tonic is not just tonic water or those other beverages , but also medicinal healing substances from plants 🌱. This turmeric-garlic-onion-lime is a whole healthy combination of a healing beverage with lots of benefits you already know.
Its easy and quick to make, requiring just 5 minutes, 4-ingredients , and one pot. Below I take you through the step by step process.
INGREDIENTS: (two servings)
1/2 a thumb of fresh turmeric
1 clove of garlic
1 tiny red onion
1 small size lime
11/2 glass of spring water
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
Step 1.
We start here by peeling and crushing the garlic above
Step 2.
We clean, slice and chop the onions thinly
Step 3.
Next, we peel,cut the turmeric into tiny chunks before we crush it into a smooth texture.
Step 4.
Finally, we cut slice the lime readily
Step 5
Here we have all ingredients put together
Step 6.
We add the ingredients into the pot , adding our water.
We set the pot on the cooker, cover to infuse for 5 minutes
Step 7.
Once time elapses, we set it down, gradually we will sieve it into our choice of glass cup
This quantity can be served twice , as first drink of tea 🍵 in the mornings
Honestly this recipe can do us lots of good with healings of all kinds , and its not just recommend for only adults. Our teenage children can also take it in little quantity for both cold, flu and inflammation.
