Fabaceae forage seedlings can be grazed once they reach a height of approximately 1 meter, this allows the plant to produce shoots in the lateral and lower parts of the stems, thus restricting its vertical growth, which would be a disadvantage.

In this way, pruning is carried out and paddocks are rotated so that the branches do not grow too high and the cattle consume them. It is worth mentioning that it is incorporated into the cattle's diet as a supplement, but it is not a food that is consumed in large quantities.
This species should be rationed, in order to guarantee a permanent forage supply, which allows us to associate it with grasses in their best growing season, thus increasing its protein content.
To this we must add its high palatability that makes it very desirable for cattle and its exuberant production of green mass that makes it important in the production of forage in quality and quantity.
