I don't know about others but the best part for me is getting the better of an opponent with obviously superior cards. In those moments, I feel like my tactics in the game has improved and in this battle that featured the Pirate Archer of the water Splinter, I feel a big sense of pride.

The Battle
The Summoner
Valnamor got into my team by chance. I was actually looking for a monster that will improve my collection power and then stumbled into this Gem. This level 3 summoner improves my monsters magic, speed and health. Not only that, but it also gives me my monsters the opportunity to show their "best traits".
Ultra Tank
Forget everything I said about Lord Arianthus, Chain Golem is the supreme tank. This monster offers virtually everything Arianthus offers in terms of strike and magic resistance but also packs a mean melee punch with armour piercing.
I put it in the front of the lineup because it has shield and magic resistance. Another reason I put it in front is because of the weak magic rule that was effective. This rule effectively made this monster the meanest possible tank you can imagine.
Blast Sacrifice
I figured my opponent might have a monster with blast or snipe ability, so I put this dude in place to take the initial hits .
Magic Blaster
Ruler of the sea is a legendary monster that is regularly in my team because of that blast ability. At level 2, it further increases the speed of my monsters, thus ensuring I get to do quite a lot of damage before my opponent even realises whats going on.
Mini Magic
Pixie fairy wasn't just there to fill the numbers, it is an integral of the attack and since it has its own shield and was also boosted by the Crustecean king, it has a longer shelf life.
I generally like adding Ice Pixie to my team because it is a low mana costing rare monster that can fill the void and also do considerable damage when boosted by Alric or Valnamor.
The Healer
My Crustecean King is actually a level 5, so I had to go into the rental market to add this one to my team. At level 6, this comon monster gives all friendlies +2 shield.
In a weak magic battle, this lowly common made the telling impact in keeping me long enough in battle to achieve victory. It combined favourably with the Chain Golem to ensure victory.
Ranged Blaster
This is yet another 2-mana costing monster that offers blast ability. In this battle, I placed it at the back for two main reasons;
- First and foremost, it was to serve as a "shield" for the crustecean king in case of a sneak monster.
- Secondly, in the event that there was no sneak monster, I wanted it to spend longer in battle since it has that blast ability.
It worked out
After surviving a maxed out poisonous frog, contending with the self-healing shield resistance from the Tortisian Fighter, dazed by the dragon jumper, and the attacks of the Phantom of the abyss, my team came out on top.
I can't really think of anything I could have done differently. This is the closest I've ever come to making a perfect team with all things considered.
