When I saw this challenge, I honestly didn't know how I was going to go about it because the Silvershield SHerrif isn't exactly a popular choice for me. However, since it is a reward card, I had been unknowingly accumulating quite the number and upgrading it to the point where mine is a level 3.
The Sherrif is one of the newer reward cards that only started being printed some months ago. So, it is quite remarkable that I even have enough to upgrade to level 3. It is a ranged monster with Snipe ability and like I said, not one of my favourites.

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: RARE
Element: LIFE
ATTACK: RANGED
ABILITIES: Snipe at level 1; Piercing at level 3; Protect at level 6
The Battle
This was an easy win for me but it is the lease I deserve from losing all those battles that got me here. Heere's how my team lined up
The Summoner
Life splinter is my least favourite in Splinterlands and a big part of the reason is because of Tyrus Paladium. This smug faced summoner that adds shield to friendlies has a smug face and that pisses me off.
My summoner is a level 4 version and while it doesn't get the monsters to their highest capacity, it still feels sturdier than Mother Khala. The interesting thing about picking this summoner is that I actually didn't have a choice in the circumstance, since the game only permitted life splinter for the battle.
Giant Robot
Goblin Mech was the first tank that came to mind. Perhaps it is because I had a lot of room to pick, owing to the high mana cap for the battle. Anyways, Goblin is a common monsters but it is very efficient in battle.
I also didn't have the liberty to pick from the legendary monsters in my team because of the match rules. With that said, I might have still used Goblin Mech even if they were around.
Reflector
Prismatic energy is one of the most reliable magic users on my team and I always have it around for...special occasions. In this battle where only rare and commons are allowed in the arena, it was a no brainer to add this guy in the mix.
I put it in the second position becauseit has plenty health and reflects magic, in the event of a snipe magic user. I also anticipated it will dodge one or two attacks from ranged snipe users as well.
Swift Sneak
If I'm using life monster, then you best believe that a silvershield assassin will be in the lineup. I placed it in the middle of the pack because I wanted to maximise the damage it will do with that double hit sneak melee. I say it did quite well.
The Worm
Using this second sneak monster was mostly because I had a lot of mana to burn. I wanted a heavy hitter in the sneak position. The plan was to use the assassin to remove any shield that may be there, and then use the sandworm to inflict the real damage.
The Sherrif
Another monster I added to the mix, probably because of the weekly challenge but also because I had lots of mana to burn. The silvershield isn't a monster I'd use on a normal day but alas, this wasn't a normal day.
I placed it in the penultimate position because I didn't want it to die too soon, in the event of my opponent using a sneak monster. Luckily for me, there wasn't even a sneak dude in the mix, so it was easy sailing.
Insect Hybrid
https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/untamed/Mantoid_lv4.pnLast on the list, we have the neutral ranged user called mantoid. I added it to the mix to fill the numbers but also to be something like a shield for the sheriff.
I actually didn't think it would last long in battle, but thanks to my opponent's team, it did. It was a good day to be a mantoid, I'd say.
It worked out
This is probably the easiest win I had last season and all I can say is "more of this please". Seriously, there's nothing more reassuring than an easy victory. It was a rough season where I finished in Diamond 2 and despite the upgrades in my team.
I don't think there's anything I'd change in this team, considering how well it worked out for me. I'm just happy I've gotten to the point where I can have easy victories in this league.
