From viva voce to dating apps, introducing oneself has not been always easy. And as someone said introduction here is kind of important to get to start everything, it is kind of tempting. But then again talking about what you love and enjoy in your own time was never my weak zone. So I'm gonna go right ahead and share some things about me and my things.
If I'm gonna tell you about me, I would have to mention I'm a millenial~GenZ guy who is graduating from a university here in Bangladesh. Although I'm reading business, honestly speaking I've never had any particular interests in studying this as I passed my higher secondary with studying science. However, turn of events and here I'm. Right now as I'm writing, I'm deep into pop culture and stuffs but growing up in the rural areas I didn't have anything to escape from my reality. I got into "3 Goyenda" in high school and that's about it. Haven't read anything before that. All I did was wander around, play a bunch of sports like Football, Cricket, Kabadi all day around. But after getting into college I got into Facebook and discovered a whole new world I suppose. I got into cinema, I saw some Deshi cultured group which awakened my passion for cinema and that's where it all begin.
Upon stumbling on the groups, I discovered there is a whole another world of cinema apart from our regional films. I got to learn about Classics, got to learn about European films, I got into reading reviews of prolific writers, eventually started writing of my own but since then I watched a lot. Eventually, I started watching TV shows also. HBO, FX, Netflix, and whatnot. And for the last two years, most of my time on the screen has surprisingly been taken by the television media. And upon seeing so many enthusiasts of books, I also started reading books seriously for the last 2 years.
Here are some of my favourite films from classics to modern:
And some TV shows which remains close to my heart:
And some books that made me feel something that I've never felt for anything:
And Oh yes, I didn’t mention music. My taste in music is a thing that changed outright over time. In my early days, I used to listen to Hindi songs, popular mainstream pop but after discovering films, I started to listen to film scores and series scores too. But my biggest change in music came in 2018 when I started using Spotify. Spotify's discover weekly is something that helped me find my never-known love for electronic music. Yes, I enjoy classical, Baroque, film scores but nothing gives me profoundness anymore other than electronic music. 24/7, electronic music is my jam.
These are some of my all-time and recent favourites to look for if you want to guess my taste:
So, that's all about me. An easygoing cinema-series-music addicted fella who occasionally writes and tries to watch Tennis. Hoping to be regular in here. Thanks, for the push, wouldn't have come out of procrastination if you didn't encourage.
