একদিন গ্রুপের সব বন্ধুরা মিলে ঠিক করলাম কোথাও একটা ঘুরতে যাব। তো কোথায় যাওয়া যায় ভাবতে ভাবতেই একজন বলে উঠল রাঙ্গামাটি যাওয়া যাক। সবাই তার কথায় সায় দিল। তাই আমিও অমত করলাম না। ঠিক করলাম সামনের সপ্তাহে আমরা যাব এবং 5/7 দিন থাকবো। কারণ তাড়াহুড়ো করে গেলে আর তাড়াহুড়ো করে ফিরে আসলে কোন কিছুই ভালো করে দেখা হয় না।
তাই ঢাকা থেকে আসার জন্য আমরা সবাই ট্রেনে উঠে বসলাম। আমরা দশ বারোজন ছিলাম। দু-তিনজন মেয়ে আর বাকি সবাই ছেলে। ট্রেনে চট্টগ্রাম আসার সময় আমরা অনেক উপভোগ করেছিলাম। ট্রেনের এই বগিতে আমরা ছাড়াও আরও অনেক যাত্রী ছিল। আমাদের গানের সাথে মাঝে মধ্যে ট্রেনের বিভিন্ন তরুণ যাত্রীরাও সুরমিলাছিলো। ট্রেনে চলন্ত অবস্থায় আমরা আমাদের লাঞ্চটা সেরে নিয়েছিলাম। সারা পথের মধ্যে বন্ধুদের গান আর গিটারের শব্দে কখন যে চট্টগ্রাম এসে পৌঁছে গেলাম বুঝতেই পারিনি।বন্ধুরা যখন বলল চল চল নামতে হবে তখনই আমার টনক নড়লো। চট্টগ্রাম নামতেই কেমন একটা অদ্ভুত অনুভুতি হচ্ছিল। বন্ধুরা বলল চল চল দেরি হয়ে যাচ্ছে। আর দেরি না করে আমরা সবাই একটি হাইসে উঠে বসলাম যা আমাদের সোজা রাঙ্গামাটি নিয়ে পৌঁছলো। আমাদের গন্তব্যস্থলে পৌঁছতে পৌঁছতে সন্ধ্যা ঘনিয়ে রাত হয়ে গেল তাই সবাই আগে থেকে বুকিং করে রাখা হোটেলে যার যার কামরায় গিয়ে উঠলাম। প্রত্যেকেই নিজ নিজ রুমে গিয়ে ফ্রেশ হয়ে আসলাম। তারপর হোটেলের নিচে গিয়ে আমরা আমাদের রাতের খাবার খেলাম। এরপর সবাই যার যার রুমে চলে গেল। আমি ও আমার রুমে চলে আসলাম আর শুয়েপড়লাম। কিন্তু শুয়ে শুয়ে চিন্তা করছিলাম কালকের দিনটা কেমন হবে।সারাদিন কিভাবে কাটাবো এসব চিন্তা করতে করতে কখন যেন ঘুমিয়ে পড়লাম।
সকালে সব বন্ধুরা ফোন দিতে শুরু করলো। কিরে,এখনো উঠিসনি? রেডি হয়ে তাড়াতাড়ি নিচে আয় বের হব তো। নিচে নেমে নাস্তা করে আমরা সবাই কিছু খাবার ও প্যাক করে নিলাম। কখন কি প্রয়োজন হয়ে বসে। সেদিন আমরা রাঙ্গামাটির আসল সৌন্দর্য খুঁজে পেয়েছিলাম। বুঝতে পেরেছিলাম কেন ভ্রমণপিপাসুরা এখানে ছুটে আসে এই রাঙ্গামাটি দেখার জন্য।
সেদিন আমরা চলতে চলতে পাহাড়ের অনেক গহীনে চলে গিয়েছিলাম। সামনে একটি গাছের গায়ে একটি বোর্ড আটকানো ছিল। হঠাৎ গভীর জঙ্গলে একটি বোর্ড দেখে সবাই পড়তে শুরু করে দিলাম। বোর্ডে যা লেখা ছিল :
" ভ্রমণ পিপাসুদের জন্য দেখার জায়গা এতোটুকুই। এর গভীরে প্রবেশ করবেন না। প্রবেশ করলে নিজের ক্ষতির জন্য নিজেই দায়ী থাকবেন।"

আমরা বন্ধুরা সবাই বলতে লাগলাম আর কি থাকতে পারে ? শিয়াল, মেছোবাঘ এর চেয়ে বেশি কি? এই বলে আমরা সবাই বনের ভিতরে প্রবেশ করতেই যাচ্ছিলাম, তখনই একজন বনবিভাগের পাহারাদার এসে আমাদের সবাইকে থামিয়ে দিলেন।
আর বলতে লাগলেন :
আপনাদের সবাইকে দেখে তো
শিক্ষিতই মনে হচ্ছে , তবুও কি
আপনারা লেখা টি পড়েন নি?
সবাই সাড়া দিয়ে বললাম আমরা তো পড়েছি।
তিনি আবার বললেন তাহলে আপনারা কেন ভিতরে প্রবেশ করেছিলেন। শুনুন,এখানে এমনি এমনি এ বোর্ড লাগানো হয়নি। এই গভীর জঙ্গলে প্রবেশ করলে কেউ ফিরে আসে না। ফিরে তো আসেই না,তার লাশ টুকুও পাওয়া যায় না। আর সব থেকে বড় কথা হল,এখানে সন্ধ্যার পর কখনোই যাবেন না। সন্ধ্যার পর এখান থেকে অনেক ভয়ানক সব চিৎকারের আওয়াজ শোনা যায়।আর যদি
কখনও শোনেন যে কোনো ছোট বাচ্চার কান্নার আওয়াজ পাওয়া যাচ্ছে, তখন আরও সাবধান হয়ে যাবেন। আর সেই কান্নার শব্দের প্রতি খেয়াল না দিয়ে অন্য কিছু করবেন। এবার বুঝলেন তো কি বললাম। এগুলো মনে রাখবেন।আর তাড়াতাড়ি এখন এখান থেকে চলে যান । আমিও এখন চলে যাব। সন্ধ্যা ঘনিয়ে এলো বলে। রাত্রিবেলা এখানে আসে পাশে কোন পাহারাদার থাকবে না। তাই এখনি চলে যান।
সেদিনকার মতো আমরা সবাই হোটেলে চলে এসেছিলাম। কিন্তু সেই রাত আমরা কেউই ঘুমোতে পারিনি। শুধু একটা চিন্তা কাজ করছিল। আসলে সেখানে কি থাকতে পারে? লোকটা কি সত্যি বলছিল? নাকি আবার অন্য কোন ব্যাপার। কারণ বর্তমানে আমাদের দেশে তো বিভিন্ন পাহাড়ে চোরাকারবারি থাকে, আর তাদের এসব কাজ চালিয়ে যাবার জন্য সাধারন মানুষের মনের সাথে এসব কাজ করে। নাকি আসলেই সেখানে অলৌকিক কিছু আছে। না আবার কোন জন্তু জানোয়ারের কাজ। প্রায় সবারই এসব ভাবতে ভাবতেই রাতটা পার হয়ে গেল। সকালে সবাই ঠিক করে নিলাম আমরা সেখানে আবার যাবো। আর সন্ধার পর সেই গভীর জঙ্গলে প্রবেশ করব। কিন্তু আমাদের গ্রুপের বাকি দু 'জন মেয়ে না যাওয়ার পরামর্শ দিচ্ছিল সবাইকে। তারা বলল, আসলেই যদি সেখানে কোন কিছু থাকে, আর আমরা যদি মারা পরি তাহলে কি হবে ? থাক থাক আমাদের যাওয়ার কোন দরকার নেই। তাদের কথাগুলো শুনে কয়েকটি ছেলেও অমত করল। তখন আমাদের আর একজন বন্ধু তাদের ভীরু বলে তিরস্কার এর সুরে হাসতে লাগলো। এর ফলে তারা আবার যাবে বলে ঠিক করলো। আর আমার বান্ধবীরাও একা হোটেলে থাকতে চাইলো না, তাই তারা ও আমাদের সঙ্গী হলো।
এবার বিকেলে আমরা সেই জায়গার উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দিলাম। সেখানে গিয়ে পৌঁছলাম সূর্য ডুবে ডুবে এমন সময়ে। বোর্ড সরিয়ে রাস্তা করে যখন এগিয়ে যাচ্ছিলাম, তখন আমরা বান্ধবীরা একে অন্যকে জড়িয়ে ধরে হাঁটছিলাম। কিছুদূর যাবার পর হঠাৎ করেই যেন কেমন পরিবেশটা বদলে গেল। সবাই বলাবলি করতে শুরু করলাম আবহাওয়াটা আচমকা এমন হলো কেন ? আমরা বান্ধবীরা বলতে শুরু করলাম চল চল এখান থেকে ফিরে যাই। কিন্তু বন্ধুরা বলল এতোটুকু যখন এসেছি এখানে কি হচ্ছে তা না দেখে যাব না। তাই আবার সবাই হাঁটা শুরু করলাম। এবার একটু এগোতেই হঠাৎ করে হাসির ভয়ানক আওয়াজ আসছিল। এই হাসির আওয়াজ কোথা থেকে আসছিল আমরা কেউ বুঝতেই পারছিলাম না। এই আওয়াজ নিয়ে আমরা ভয় পাচ্ছিলাম এমন সময়,আবার একটি বাচ্চার কান্নার আওয়াজ শুনতে পেলাম আমরা। বন্ধুরা বলছিল নিশ্চয়ই কোন বাচ্চা বিপদে পড়েছে। বাচ্চাটা এমনভাবে কাঁদছিল যা শুনে মনে হচ্ছিল বাচ্চাটাকে কেউ বুঝি জোরে জোরে মারছে। এরইমধ্যে তাকিয়ে দেখি আমার পাশের বন্ধুরা সব নিজেই নিজেকে আঘাত করতে শুরু করেছে। একজন তো একটি গাছের সাথে নিজের মাথা ফাটিয়ে ফেলেছিল। অনবরত তার কপাল বেয়ে রক্ত ঝরছিল। তাকে সাহায্য করার জন্য এগিয়ে যাচ্ছিলাম সেই সময়, ভয়ানক একটি আর্তনাদের আওয়াজ শুনি। শব্দটি ধীরে ধীরে আমাদের দিকেই আসছিল। আমরা সবাই ভয়ে তখন জঙ্গলে লুকিয়ে পড়লাম যে যার মত। কিন্তু কি হবে লুকিয়ে ? হঠাৎ দু 'টি বড় বড় ভয়ানক চোখ আমার সামনে দেখতে পেলাম। চোখ গুলো এতটাই ভয়ানক ছিল যা আমি কখনোই ভুলতে পারবো না। সেই মুহূর্তেই আমি অজ্ঞান হয়ে গেছিলাম। আমি জানিনা সেখানে কি হয়েছিল সেইদিন ? যখন আমার জ্ঞান ফিরল তখন আমি আমাকে হাসপাতালের একটি বেডের মধ্যে পেয়েছিলাম । জ্ঞান ফিরতেই আমি আমার অন্যান্য বন্ধুদের কথা জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলাম। তারা বলল :
পাহারাদার আমাকে খুব খারাপ অবস্থায় সেখানে পেয়েছিল। আর সেই বোর্ড সরিয়ে আর্মি ফোর্স নাকি ভিতরে গিয়েছিল। কিন্তু কাউকেই পায়নি। তবে সেখানে তারা চারিদিকে শুধু রক্ত আর রক্ত পেয়েছিল।তারা আমার বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে নিয়ে যাওয়া কিছু ব্যাগ ও পেয়েছিল। যার সাথে তারা একটি ডিজিটাল ক্যামেরা ও পেয়েছিল। আর সেই ক্যামেরাটা তখনও চলছিল। উদ্ধারকারীরা সেই ক্যামেরাটা চালু করে যা দেখতে পেয়েছিল তা দেখে আমার মত তারাও ভয় পেয়েছিল।
শুনেছি, তারা নাকি দু 'টো ভয়ানক চোখ আর তার ভয়াবহ গর্জন শুনে ছিল যা তার মুখের সাহায্যে আমার সব বন্ধুদের ছিড়ে চিবিয়ে খাচ্ছিল।
হাসপাতাল থেকে বেরোনোর পর সেই পাহাড়ে আবারো যেতে চেয়েছিলাম আমার বন্ধুদের প্রকৃত খোঁজে। কিন্তু জানতে পারলাম আমাদের সাথে যে অঘটন ঘটে ছিল তারপর সেখানে কড়া পাহারা দেয়া হয়েছে, কাউকে সেখানে প্রবেশ করতে দেয়া হয় না এবং চারিদিকে ব্যারিকেড ও দেয়া হয়েছে। আজও সেখানে কেউ যেতে পারে না। শোনা যায়, আজও সেখানে ভয়ানক গর্জন ও কান্নার আওয়াজ শুনতে পাওয়া যায় সন্ধ্যার পর।
আমি এখনো ঘুম থেকে জেগে উঠি সেই কান্নার আওয়াজ কিংবা ভয়ানক চোখ দু 'টি স্বপ্ন দেখে। এখনো আমি রাতে ঠিকমতো ঘুমাতে পারিনা। ঘুমোলেই মনে হয় কান্নার আওয়াজ আমায় ডাকছে আর চোখ দু 'টো আমার দিকে তাকিয়ে আছে ভয়ানক সেই দৃষ্টিতে।
আমরা বন্ধুরা মিলে যে অনধিকারচর্চা করেছিলাম আপনারা কখনোই তা করতে যাবেন না। কোথাও বিপদ সংকেত লেখা থাকে মানেই সেখানে বিপদ আছে। আমাদের এই দুঃসাহসিক অভিযানের কারণে আমরা হারিয়েছি আমাদের 11 টি তাজা প্রাণ। যা কখনো পূরণ করা সম্ভব নয়। তাই আপনারাও কখনো ভ্রমণে গেলে দুঃসাহসিক অভিযানে পা দেবেন না। কারণ এতে করে ঘটে যেতে পারে আমাদের জীবনে ঘটে যাওয়া সেই দুর্ঘটনার মতো ঘটনা।হারিয়ে ফেলতে পারেন আপনারাও কাছের কিছু বন্ধু বা আত্মীয় স্বজন।
আমার এই গল্পটি সময় নিয়ে পড়ার জন্য ধন্যবাদ।

So we all got on the train to come from Dhaka. We were ten or twelve. Two or three girls and the rest are boys. We had a lot of fun coming to Chittagong by train. There were many more passengers besides us in this carriage of the train. From time to time, various young passengers of the train also sang along with our songs. We finished our lunch on the train. I could not understand when I reached Chittagong with the sound of my friends' songs and guitars all the way. What a strange feeling it was to land in Chittagong. Friends said let's go, it's getting late. And without delay we all got up in a huddle which reached us straight to Rangamati. Arriving at our destination, it was getting late in the evening so we went to each room of the hotel which we had booked in advance. Everyone went to their respective rooms and came fresh. Then we went downstairs to the hotel and ate our dinner. Then everyone went to their rooms. He and I went to my room and went to bed. But I was lying down and thinking about what tomorrow will be like. I fell asleep thinking about how to spend the whole day.
In the morning all the friends started calling. Kiri, haven't you got up yet? I will be ready to come out soon. We all went downstairs for breakfast and packed some food. When what is needed. That day we found the real beauty of Rangamati. I understood why travelers come here to see this Rangamati.
That day we walked to the depths of the mountains. A board was pasted on a tree in front. Suddenly I saw a board in the deep forest and everyone started reading. What was written on the board:
"There is so much to see for those who are thirsty for travel. Don't go deep into it. If you enter, you will be responsible for your own loss."

Then another friend of ours called them cowards and started laughing at the tone of reprimand. As a result, they decided to go again. And my girlfriends didn't want to stay in the hotel alone, so they became our companions.
This afternoon we left for that place. I reached there at a time when the sun was setting. As we removed the board and walked down the street, we girlfriends hugged each other and walked. After going some distance, the environment suddenly changed. Everyone started talking about why the weather was so sudden. We girlfriends started saying let's go back from here. But my friends said that I would not leave without seeing what was happening here. So everyone started walking again. This time a little further on, a terrible sound of laughter was suddenly coming. No one could understand where this laughter was coming from. At a time when we were terrified by this sound, we heard the sound of a baby crying again. Friends said there must be a child in danger. The baby was crying in such a way that it seemed as if someone was hitting the baby hard. In the meantime I looked and saw that all the friends next to me were starting to hurt themselves. One of them broke his head with a tree. His forehead was constantly bleeding. As I was about to go to help him, I heard a terrible scream. The word was slowly coming towards us. We all hid in the forest for fear. But what will be hidden? Suddenly I saw two big terrible eyes in front of me. The eyes were so terrible that I will never forget. At that moment I fainted. I do not know what happened there that day? When I regained consciousness I found myself in a hospital bed. As soon as I regained consciousness, I asked about my other friends. They said:
The guards found me there in a very bad condition. And the army force removed that board and went inside. But no one was found. But there they found only blood and blood around. They also found some bags taken with my friends. With which they also got a digital camera. And that camera was still running. Rescuers turned on the camera and, like me, were frightened by what they saw.
I heard that they had heard two terrible eyes and his horrible roar which was chewing all my friends with the help of his mouth.
After leaving the hospital, I wanted to go to that mountain again in search of my friends. But I found out that after the incident that happened to us, there was a strict guard, no one was allowed to enter and barricades were set up all around. Even today no one can go there. It is heard that even today there is a terrible roar and cry after evening.
I still wake up to the sound of those cries or the two terrible dreams. I still can't sleep well at night. As soon as I fell asleep, I felt the sound of crying calling to me and my eyes were looking at me with that horrible look.
You will never do the unethical practices that we friends did together. Danger sign is written somewhere means there is danger. We lost 11 of our fresh lives because of this adventure. Which can never be fulfilled. So if you ever go on a trip, do not set foot on an adventurous expedition. Because it can happen in our life like the accident that can happen. You can also lose some close friends or relatives.
