He started his journey in the '90s when Kumar Shanu, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan were ruling the music period with their sweet-love songs. Meanwhile, KK started a new rock style which was totally a different mixture of Hindi songs compared with the running styles of the music industry. His unique approach to composing music and lyrics attracted people's hearts so easily. And by that time, his songs spread in the neighborhood countries too.
Whenever we are up for any romantic, sad, or party songs, his music becomes our companion. He is a nostalgia among the 90's generation. He taught us how to listen to songs no matter which part you belong to. As he started his journey before the social media era, his songs were able to create a fan base community which was connected through the heart of the people. He taught us how to express emotions and how to empathize with others. He had a fan base from different communities because the emotions in his songs are relatable to all kinds of people.
Lots of his songs pulled me off the different stages of my life. Ankhon Me Teri reminds me of the debut of our loveable actress Deepika Padukone and from here, she has risen as a star, Dola Re Dola was the most hyped song at my cousin's wedding, Dil Ibadat or Such Keh Raha Hai were the best companions when love and pain came into life. And wherever I listen to these songs, those particular memories instantly flash before my eyes. To me, this is the best power of music which can trigger back those nostalgic memories within a second.
But we, the present generation, hardly know his name because he always stayed above publicity. And we should appreciate his dignity because being this famous, he never goes for any kind of public attention which is very rare in this present world. We can feel his lifestyle only by his single quote,
"For me, it has always been a case of live life as it comes... I can't plan. Life also never sticks to a plan".
But the saddest thing is, though he maintained a healthy and routined life, he had to go at this early age.
Lastly, we could show our gratitude by being thankful to him for those amazing songs! Praying to God that he will find peace in the afterlife!
