If you go through my episode 1 you already know that we are now in Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), Chittagong. After taking rest at 6:30 we got up and take our belongings. There was a bus schedule of the university, so take the varsity bus which dropped us at Dhampara bus stand. There we had our breakfast. From the bus stand we take the bus to Shitakundu Bazar, it cost 40 taka per person. It was about 1 hour journey to Shitakundu bazar. After reaching there we booked a hotel just beside the shitakundu police station. It was nice room with two double beds. The owner of the hotel is a aged person with a kind heart. So we managed the room with a affordable cost.
The room was spacious enough for six of us. We kept our belongings there and got ready for a hill tracking. Today we will cover the Chandranath Temple and Barobkundo.
We take a CNG ( a motor vehicle) from Shitakundu bazar. It cost 120 taka. The CNG dropped us near the Chandranath Hill from where we started our tracking. We buy six bamboo stick that would help us in climbing the mountain. We started climbing the mountain almost at 9:30 am.
The height of the Chandranath Hill is 1020 feet (310 meter) above from sea level . And the temple is located at the top of the hill. At the very first of the tracking there was concrete road.
There was dozens of temple on the way of climbing. It is a religious place for the Hindus. The temples are 100 years old and some are more than that. So they're historical monuments of our country . Maximum of the temples are Shiv temple. There were some other Temples too. Some Temples were abundant.
The day was sunny. Sun was burning right above our heads. We met many tourists on your way some of them were going up and some were coming down. There was some signs of dangerous passing. If you fall you will end up more than hundreds feet down. So we needed to be more careful. The natural views pounder our hearts . The clear blue sky above the hill top and the greenery around us.
We were getting tried, as the time was passing. After climbing for one and a half hours we take a break. Have some snacks and water. Then again we started to climbing.
On our way we see some of the tourists get sick, some of them were vomiting. Some of were returning from the midway. Itβs for the weather and heat. Two of us get demoralised, but we give them moral and started to continue our climbing.
We were climbing and climbing but the hill top distance seems not to be changed. After climbing for tow hours we found a Temple again. We take rest for 15 minutes there. We emptied our water bottles on the way we were thirsty but there wasnβt any water around. We heard that there is a little store on top of the hill, where we can had water and something to eat. So we again gather our energy, give each other motivation to reach the top. So again we started our journey. After tracking for more half an hour we almost reached the top it was about 15-20 feet left and there was the store. We buy water fruits from the store. Things were much expensive than down below. But they worth it. There was a little boy about age 10-11 how was serving us. From him we came to know he and his father everyday climb here with all this products for a high earnings. We were astonished to here that, this little boy is working hard from this age to support his family.
After the break we started again. The last steps were almost straight and bit slippery, we were at high risk. But we gather our strength and cross the last steps. It was a tried some journey. It took almost 3 hours to reach the top.
We were all tired but you Won't believe us the top of the mountain there was that Temple and was just clod and the view from the hill top oh that was something I never see in my eyes. Our tiredness just vanished. Our heart were beating fast but we were drowned in the beauty, we don't even sit for 5-10 mins after that climbing.
After watching the view we get inside the temple and lie down in there. That felt really great we could still enjoy the view from the shade. Then we take some pictures there. We stay there for half an hour. It was almost 1:00 pm. We started to climb down.
The down going was pretty tough rather than climbing. When we climb up we were going Against the gravity we need to push ourselves, but when we were going down we were going towards the gravity, so the speed increases and way down was almost 75-80 degree, it was pretty risk. After climbing for 3 hours we were tried and that down view our heads were spinning. One of our friend just start to crawl like baby. We were going down fast.
Sometimes it was pretty tough to control the pace, I slipped two or three times, but managed to save myself from the fall. Thanks to the Almighty I DON'T end up falling. You Won't believe it takes only 45 minutes to climb down.
After climbing down we again take a CNG to our hotel and have our bath. Then we went to a restaurant and had our lunch.
After lunch at 2:45 we were prepared for the Barobkundo.
