ABOUT ME
My name is Cecilia but you can call me Sessy, that's what everyone calls me. I was born in the early 90s, I’m a Nigerian who hails from Ogun state but resides in Lagos state Nigeria..
I studied Accounting in the University of Ghana, Legon. but i couldn't complete my degree due to my Dad's demise.
I lost my dad in 2015, it was an heartbreaking experience for me, i almost couldn't survive because i had lost my mum 2 years earlier (2013)
Things became so tough after loosing my dad, it wasn't easy being an orphan.
I had to grow up and become an independent woman. I couldn't go back to Ghana to complete my education, so i had to start all over.
Life became so unbearable, it was so hard to survive. I managed to get a side job at a boutique and saved up some money.
I decided to go learn baking, and also got a school registration form (Yaba college of Technology, Yabatech) where i studied Accounting.
I was schooling part time and was working (learning baking) full time, it wasn't easy because there were so many weekends my boss would need me to be at work, and some week days, I'd need to be in school as well, it was draining, i worked and studied under pressure so many times, at times i don't even get to sleep at all, and will have to sleep walk to the class or to work.
As an apprentice, i wasn't getting paid, so i could only make money from my personal cake orders, i was still new in the business so it was hard getting clients, since they weren't sure I'd be able to deliver, and whenever i get a client, I'd always have to charge below the actual price, because i needed to make money no matter how little, i had no one to turn to for help, it was so tough and frustrating that i nearly gave up, there were so many times I'd go hungry for days, walk to my place of work cos' i had no money, I'd be starving and penniless but have to show up at work and school, then at some point, ulcer creeped in, the heart burns, pains and tears were always unbearable. I wanted to give up on everything. However, i managed to pull through because those pains and experiences made me tougher and stronger, I wanted to be independent, so i had to give it my all.
And now, i am a fully certified baker, i make the most amazing cakes and pastries, i enjoy cooking as well, and i make mouth watering dishes.
Making the edible incredible is what I do. My business is registered and well known to an extent, i remember my first clients were people from my church and school, also my friends and family, but now, so many people i don't even know, trust my brand and patronize me. I pray someday i become known all over the world🙏
PASSION/HOBBIES/INTEREST
I passion for a lot of things , but the following are what I love to do:
- Writing,
- Reading,
- Singing and
- Surfing the internet.
I used to love traveling, meeting new people, making friends and building connections, but after losing my parents, i became an introvert, i lost interest in so many things.
But thanks to my job, i have been meeting new people and slowly coming out of my shells.
I love to dance, but I don't know how to anymore.
My favorite colors are white, pink, purple and blue.
Thanks to a friend, i was able to join this beautiful family. I didn't know anything about hive, until 
I joined because i love the activities here, he told me it's a safe haven for me, a place where i can express myself freely, connect and socialize with different people from different parts of the world, a place where I'd get to learn new things from different people.
Everything about this community fascinates me and I'd love to connect with a lot of people here, i believe I will gain so much here, same way I'm willing to share so many things with you all here.
