Hi guys, how are you all doing? I hope you’re all doing great. Alhamdulillah, I’m also doing very well. Today, I’m going to share a dried fish recipe with you. Many people love eating dried fish, while some avoid it because of its strong smell. But the recipe I’m sharing with you today is something I hope you will really enjoy. So come on, let me share it with you step by step.
Ingredients:
1.Dried fish
2.Onion (sliced)
3.Garlic (chopped)
4.Ginger (chopped)
5.Green chilies
6.Turmeric powder
7.Red chili powder
8.Salt
9.Oil
10.Tomatoes (optional)
11.Coriander leaves (optional)
Cooking process:
First, clean the dried fish by washing it lightly and soaking it in warm water for a few minutes to reduce the strong smell.
Heat some oil in a pan.
Add chopped garlic and ginger and fry until they become golden and aromatic.
Add sliced onions and cook until they turn soft and light brown.
Now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well so the spices mix nicely.
Add the dried fish to the pan and fry it for a few minutes so it gets coated with the spices.
Add chopped tomatoes (optional) and cook until they become soft.
Pour a little water and let it cook on medium heat for a few minutes until the fish becomes tender and the gravy thickens.
Add green chilies and cook for 2–3 more minutes.
Finally, garnish with coriander leaves and turn off the heat.
I bought this dried fish directly from deep inside the Sundarbans. That’s why I was very interested to cook it and taste it. I didn’t really like eating dried fish before, but today it has been cooked so beautifully that it actually tasted really delicious.
This dried fish turned out surprisingly delicious. Even though I never used to enjoy dried fish before, cooking it fresh from the Sundarbans made all the difference. The aroma, the flavor, and the texture came together so perfectly that it became a meal worth remembering.
The dried fish I brought from the Sundarbans added a completely different depth of flavor. I never imagined I would enjoy it this much, but today’s recipe changed my mind. The spices blended perfectly, the aroma was rich, and every bite felt warm and comforting. Sometimes, trying something new brings the best kind of surprise.
