On a very good morning, I left my domicile
to work on the piece of land that my late
father bequeathed to me before his demise.
A piece of farmland carefully situated in the
outskirt of the renowned town named
Moriba. Moriba was known for her farm
produce, a good supplier of raw materials
that are to be finished in the factory.
I journeyed down to my far to reach
farmland with my farm tools, as it was time
to have my maize planted. Did I tell you, I
was a mechanized farmer? Yeah, I got the
little penny I had then, to acquire for myself
some necessary farm tools and a donkey
from the sweat that exude from my body. I
was resilient and indefatigable; I worked in
the scotching sun and under the furious
heavy lashes the rain could let down.
On that fateful day while I was on my farm
working, a serpentine creature crawled its
way to my leg and unconsciously had a bite
on my leg. It was a king cobra snake. It
had a bite and scurried away in no time.
As much as I tried to hurry in order to make for my horse,
the poison was already making its way to the upper regions of my body ,
making it look like all hope was lost
and I was also Finding it difficult to also climb the horse all by myself
with all thought of ravage in my mind some of which was
"even if I would not be able to reach my family and bid them an appropriate farewell,
I should at least be able to be found".
But in a twinkling of an eye,
an hunter was returning from his night journey to the neighboring town of Moriba,
he saw me from afar off groaning in pain,
at that point all hope was almost gone.
And as he made for me, I only had the thought of giving him a message for my beloved,
but in the stead he hurried and made a stop to the easy flow and movement of the poison,
after which he made some herbal remedies from the natures in the farm
which helped in the total removal of the poison from my body.
In no time I was well again
even when I was almost breathing my last.
Oh thank goodness. As I regained my strength and overflowing joy floods my heart, I got my final healing from the refreshing words from these adages.
"Tis always darkest before the dawn" and "There is always light at the end of the tunnel"
keep your hopes high and be positive always.
