Actually I have seen very few animated movies, this is the best of all the anime movies I have seen. At first I was not interested in this movie because I don't like animation much. But seeing so many recommendations, so many positive reviews from everyone around, I also sat down to watch Spirited Away. There are even several positive posts about this movie in this community. After reading them, I decided to watch. It's true that if you are not interested in something, you don't pay much attention to it. The same thing happened to me at first when I started watching. After 3 minutes of the movie, I couldn't take my eyes off it. I started to get fascinated and after a while I got stuck, movie cinematography, visuals. I forget about mention that, before watching it, I googled about hayao miyazaki (Studio Ghibli) and was pleasantly surprised to see so much of its praise around. I noticed that this was my first Miyazaki film.
I'm not a fan nor an anime expert, as I said above, I'm not an animation lover. The story may seem a little complicated at first. But the Japanese have also filled the complex story with the beauty of flowers. The whole story will look very simple, as you go deeper. Without seeing it, I couldn't understand why there was so much admiration around. And I was ignorant of Japanese culture. This is an excellent example of the wonderful story that they carry in these type of movies.
What if you suddenly get lost in a strange city from a real city. All that is happening seems like a dream, like the realm of imagination all around. It is made up of such a story. Chihiro was leaving the old city with his parents and moving to a new place. But mistakenly the path on the way they arrive at mysterious place. Which is an abandoned park. They have to enter the park through the cave. Chihiro didn't like going through the cave. She slowly enters the park for the interest of her parents. Then one incident after another happened. Her parents become giant pigs and meet Master Haku in the city of the incorporeal. How little Chihiro freed her and her parents with honesty, foresight.
In this movie, Hayato Miyazaki has created some nice animated characters that make the movie even more interesting. There are several other characters including Sen (Chihiro), Hakur being dragon, kamaji, Kaonashi, yubaba which make the movie more interesting.
The whole movie was captivating. I like the screenplay and cinematography of the movie the most, every scenes are illustrated beautiful. This spirited away is a great movie in the world of animation. It is amazing to think that such a movie can be made with the power of imagination.
Love and faith are beautifully expressed in it. There are some special in this movie, how to make decisions in real time in difficult times. Since Chihiro is a 10year old , we make the same decision when the reality of adolescence comes to us. In fact, in adolescence, a new world unfolds before us. We make decisions, learn values and even make mistakes. Whatever the outcome, keep faith in yourself. If you generously help the people around you, they will be grateful and will try to help you when you need help.
