As the number of my friends is less now, I had limited friends even when I was in school. A few friends, one or two of whom were more likely to hang out. I was not a regular at school; I evaded school with a thousand excuses from my mother. Although I went to school, I never attended classes from morning to afternoon. If I had to attend school all day, I wouldn't do it even after much pressure. I used to escape by climbing the walls. No! It's not that I was alone. Many others with me would go home after tiffin and never come back. And those who regularly attended classes would bring food in the tiffin.
I thought I would never be friends with them. I was flogged in the first class the next day because I was absent from the last period class. I would have survived the extreme humiliation just because only boys were in school(boys school). I was a regular on Sir's fugitive list. The head of the school also complained to my father. I never complained face to face, though, because my father was very busy. He never inquired about me in school. Suddenly the peon came to the class just before the tiffin period with a notice. Sir read the notice to us. It was said that today all students must take classes till the last period. Otherwise, severe punishment will be provided. Will come to visit from the Board of Education.
Such a notice made me think that day. Class is over; the tiffin period is going on; I see the gate locked, but the gate will not open today. It made me even more frustrated. I have to go today. Because there are cricket matches from 3 o'clock. I bought a cricket tournament a few weeks ago. A match of that tournament will be held today. There is no way to lose. Must win, but school gate closed. There is no way to get out on a bicycle. The school had two entrances, the main gate and a sub gate, the second behind the school. Neither of the two gates will open today. I decided to leave my bicycle and climb the wall. But where to leave the bicycle! Then I started to miss my friend.
There was a boy who sat on the same bench as me. He used to be friendly with me, but I used to talk less and keep quiet. He didn't bring his cycle today; I went to him and asked if he would take my cycle home today. I told him I would not attend class until the last period. He agreed in one word. I was also warned to take classes till the last period today. I didn't even hear him. I climbed the back wall of the school's Shaheed Minar and went out. The walls were not too high. I went out of school that day to play cricket, and I won. The next day, I went to the school and asked the boy what had happened yesterday. I kept asking if the teachers were really serious.
Because I was scared, Sir came to the class and told me to stand up and sent it to the headmaster. I was really scared; I was the only one who didn't come to school till the last period. I entered Sir's room with salutation. I still remember the conversation; the conversation is as follows:
Sir: Did you hear the notice I sent yesterday?
Me: Yes, Sir, I heard.
Sir: Why were you still missing in the last period? Me: ...(I couldn't say anything, I couldn't find any excuses.)
Sir: Go, call your dad and get him.
I was most afraid to call my dad in school in school life. I encountered it that day, unfortunately. I faced that situation through my fault. I had to call my father. After that, I did not go to school for five more days. :33
