Alright, yes I am trying out a new game called Defi Pet. Getting into something early is always good, especially if you feel it is going to be another NFT legit game. My Defi pet has released its Beta version and after a few months of release, it got the high attention of gamers.
What Is Defi Pet?
Defi pet is a play-to- earn Virtual pet cryptocurrency game where you can collect, breed, and evolve your pets. It also has a battle mechanism that is under development at the moment. DPET is the main token of the game. If you want to start this game then you must at least have 1 pet. For one pet you need 3 DPET tokens that can easily be swapped through Uniswap cake. DPET token is currently available on BSC and Kardia chains. So when you go to My Defi Pet you see the games option. When you click on games you get two more options either Kardia chain or BSC.
What you need
- You need a Metamask wallet
- BSC Address
- Enough BNB Balance to purchase 3 DPET tokens.
Currently, one DPET token is almost 6$. It was 2$ a few days ago when I ironically ignored this game. Later, when I saw it is another game like an Axie infinity and It also has some scope and will be legit, I decided to get into this game before it was too late. This is what happened in the case of Axie infinity. I could have entered with just 3 or four hundred dollars but being late comer I had to put in 2500$ to start that game.
Anyways, when you buy three DPET tokens then you use those DPET to buy an egg and then hatch that egg to get your first pet. When I did this process I got stuck and I got a message that the purchase is failed. But it wasn't failed I had my first Pet in my mypet inventory. But since I was new and didn't know that I tried it once again and bought another 3 DPET tokens and purchased an egg and hatched the egg and got Venom. yea venom is the name of my pet. Right now I am having 2 pets and I plan not to invest anymore. But I am wrong here this game will make me buy more DPET tokens for more resources. When you buy your first egg game automatically takes you to the Incubator. An incubator is a place where you will hatch your egg by clicking it few times.
After hatching an egg you will get your pet and then go to My pet inventory and look at your pet stats.
I have two pets right now one is Spike and the other one is Venom. Currently, all i know is they can generate some silver/hour. They don't have skills atm and soon they will release the skills of pets. Their skills will determine what kind of pet it is and if it can fight on Arena :P Right now our only duty is to raise our pets by feeding them food. There are multiple kinds of foods we can harvest for our pets. Each food requires a different type of silver in order to harvest them.

- wheat
- potato
- Tomato
- Carrot
- strawberry
Strawberry and carrots are the most expensive foods. You need 150,000 silver coins to harvest the Strawberry plant. And 40000 to Carrot. Different crops generate different levels of food and EXP. It is like the more you put in the more you get back :P XD
You can buy different levels of cages for your pet and different kind of lands for your crops to grow. I was a newbie I made a mistake. So i would suggest don't buy small cages go for bigger ones. Big cages have more ability to store silver. Because your pet continuously non-stop generates silver for you. If you are busy or sleeping and not claiming them then the cage will stop collecting silvers and you will lose money.
Right now the game is like just collect and feed :P but they have released a breeding feature. You can breed your two pets if they are level 10. For breeding, you will have to take your pets to `Happy forest. For breeding, you need 3 DPET tokens again. Now I am thinking If I need 3 DPET tokens to breed then I should go to buy a new egg instead of breeding. Because I am not sure what would I get If I mate venom and spike lol.
If you are planning to go deep in this game then I'd suggest buy plenty of DPET tokens while they are cheap. I assume they would go nuts like AXS of axie infinity. In this month of August, it is expected they are introducing market place so you can trade your pets. There is no earning mechanism right now this is why people are not taking much interest. Because it is human nature we get into things after seeing a lot of money :P XD. This is the first game I got in when it has nothing except hatching, breeding growing food and feeding that food to your pets. I hope it is not a bad decision. If so then I will be losing 36$ that is not that much for experimenting with a new thing.
