Mandalay was Yadanarpone Palace(Nay Pyi Taw) of the ancient kings.
Nay Pyi Taw was the last royal residence before falling under the British colony.
In the past, most of the Burmese lived in the middle of Mandalay, and it was an area where Burmese culture was preserved.
According to Burmese culture, water pots were placed on the roadsides for travelers to drink.
