This is my entry post for the Season Hunt Challenge Week 11 by in the Feel Good Community! The theme this week is Lights and Candles! You can learn more about the contest and how to enter HERE!
My first photo shows one of my favorite lanterns! I forget where I got it from but most likely it was from an auction or flea market. It is an old, or at least it looks old, light blue crackle glass candle lantern. I photographed it with a tea light candle in it. It isn't the easiest to light but it is really pretty when it is lit. I took it out last night to get a photo of how it looks in the outside night and I'm glad I did!
I also took several photos of the lantern above inside my home. Here are three of those photos in a collage. These show the color of the crackle glass a little more as well.
I do really like how the outside photos came out. I had already taken most of my photos inside but I decided to re-shoot some of them outside instead. Like this mosaic type candle holder. I bought this one several years ago. The colors show up quite nicely when lit. I had a votive size candle in this one.
I don't know if you noticed the little orange/yellow glow in the background of my last photo above but that is one of approximately a dozen new sidewalk lights that my husband purchased. They flicker like a candle does. I like them very much also. They don't particularly give off much light but it is enough to see your way up the walkway. It also feels like it adds the the tiniest bit of warmth on a very cold night.
I spotted this reflection of a string of Christmas lights in my daughters vehicle parked outside. Funny thing is that I did try to photograph those Christmas lights several times but they came out as a straight white line. Probably, if I had gone inside to get a different camera to try then it may have come out but I kinda' like how they look in the reflection. I say Christmas lights but my neighbors usually have some kind of lights up year round. It is just a short line of lights that run part way over their front door. I also thought the purple-ish light in the window of the house across the street was interesting.
I took this next photo while I was at Cracker Barrel. It is literally a candle light or specifically a candle glitter lamp. I did a couple of edits on it including changing the background.
This is my last photo and although it is a small little candle holder, it is also one of my favorites. I just love the way the candlelight shows through it. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoyed seeing my photos! 😊
