I was recently labeled essential
Though I must say, I'm not very influential
And to be honest it feels a little tangential
Has someone truly noticed my potential
Was it so obvious that it was seen as inferential
The new label has me feeling a little reverential
Where by I'm questioning the existential
Between my known skills and my potential
Is there truly a differential
This new understanding could be consequential
I wonder if it's transferential
Was it actually providential
Reviving an old view on the coessential
And voiding the idea of person being unessential
Is there a new view on the essential
That is slowly becoming preferential
Inspiring change in an order that was sequential
From the residential
To the presidential
A new understanding of the quintessential
Where a person's individual worth is now evidential
