Strand Back to wacky wicked English where word may have more than one meaning.
As a noun shore (beach), of sea, lake or big river, strand birds landing on shoreline. Slight change becoming an adjective, one can also become stranded outside a country on the side of a road.
As a verb, a ship is stranded in shallow water of the ocean floor, a stranded whale on a sandbank.
Strand of rope, hair, wire, cotton, DNA, spider's silk. Spiders start with a single superstrength strand to start a bridge thread between two secure ends, the Bark spider I recently wrote about allows to wind to carry the strand across a river or between trees.
Below is the Golden Orb Web Spider, weaving silk strand.
Silhouette When the sky turns into pale colours, ideal time to capture silhouette photography from wherever you are, superb time with sublime slick magic rays sprayed as a natural backdrop.
Succulents Beautiful plants of many shapes and sizes, require little attention and thrive once settled in the right conditions, water wise which makes them super to have in drought stricken regions.
