This is my response to the phone photography Contest # 52 hosted by
This is one of the weekends outing I did lately and needless to say it's up to the mountains. Nothing much over there, just the wild nature is what you explore. There is no greenery or vegetation here, it's all dry, the only thing you find here are some mountain goats and a couple of tribal people of this place. No cell phone tower, no shops, no cafes or restaurants, so either you come well prepared or you just make a short-day trip and get down before it gets dark. Mine was a short-day trip, as always, we carried our lunch and water. The mats and chairs are always in the car so that we do not have to think much.
This place has some old ruins, looks like someone was trying to build up a small shelter here but then left it half way. For the few local people who live here, the water tanker comes once or twice a week. There is electricity supply so life does go on here but on bare basics.
We were making fun, let's take one of them and prepare a nice mutton biryani....haha, they seem to be well fed. Temperatures in this region are low all through out the year, but in winters they go in minus and there are times when it has snowed also, though not much.
This terrain reminds me of my Everest base camp trek, it was something like this only.
It's all wild and rough
Do you think in this modern time that we are living with all the comfort and luxuries, you can live here? Though I like this place, living here would be a big challenge.
