R You Ready For The Hunt?

Alphabet Hunt is rolling along and the hunt is on for words starting with R.

First up R for my beautiful cat called Red,

The color Red is not only for redheads but encompasses the land here on the Island with red soil and red rocks.

In autumn I will see the changes the cooler weather brings; the red of the blueberry fields, red leaves of the maple tree and red bushes.

ROOSTER

Growing up on a farm here were always chickens running around the barnyard and a gorgeous rooster that crowed early every morning.

I love seeing the poultry, especially the bantam Roosters, roaming outside when I pass a farm. I always say I would like to have some chickens but settled for these Rooster decoration plates I hung in the kitchen.

RABBIT

There are always a few wild rabbits nibbling on clovers and dandelions in the yard. This one is curious and comes up close to the back deck to check out the seeds I put out for the birds and chipmunks.

REST

No one gets more rest than a cat. I know my two, Red and Sunday, have lots of cat naps during the day and a good night’s sleep.

I can’t complain because if they hear any unusual scratching or noise in the house they are on guard to hunt down any mouse or insects that might have gotten inside.

Sunday rests while enjoying the warmth from the wood stove.

Rock and Roll

“We will, we will Rock you.”🎸

When we were hunting the Q my dear friend Hive account@johannpiber and I joked about using the Rock group Queen and how he would have to go to England to get some photos or maybe closer to Switzerland to get a photo of Freddie Mercury’s statue.

Now I have the opportunity to use the Rock group.

These are old Queen albums from Hubby’s younger Rock and Roll days. I think he really liked the music of their band by the number of albums purchased.
