Last December 21, my father and I went to Mactan Island to say our last farewell to one of my uncles who unfortunately passed away earlier this month. We rode a bus going to the V-hire terminal and then got on a van going to the island.
Mactan Island is connected to Cebu Island using three different bridges. I'll be sharing photos I took of the newest bridge. I took it from a moving bus, so I hope you still enjoy it.
Even though the new bridge is the nearest to my city, the bus we're on won't pass there. And the place where the bridge is connected to in Mactan Island is quite far from our destination. Instead, we're going to the island using the first bridge. It's the oldest one.
I took the photos above while on the first bridge. If you look closely, you can see the bridge I took photos of earlier in the distance.
The highest point of the bridge has screens. It didn't have these screens in the past, but I believe they're made to prevent people from jumping off to un-alive themselves.
I remember this milling factory. It's called General Milling Corporation.
My family and I used to live in Mactan Island when I was in elementary. Every time we passed by this place, my cousins and I would joke about how the factory was owned by our grandma. And how she was a general. Our grandma's nickname was Miling. hahaha
The photos might not be of good quality since I took them from moving vehicles, but I hope you still like them. It was fun taking these shots. It would be awesome to take more photos, especially at night.
Thanks for reading this post. This is my entry for 's Phone Photography Contest. Feel free to join the fun! Have a good one! (^^,)/
