The two keywords for this week's Photochain Challenge #126 come to you by way of last week's winners, 's word being CHIMMNEY, and
's word being DOG.
Dogs, there are plenty of man's best friend here on the farm, especially when the kids come to visit.
They come in all shapes and sizes, but the dog you see being photographed here is a very fortunate dog, a rescued dog that was going to be put down. Her name is Ruby. She was adopted by a very special young lady who became a full fledged veterinarian this past summer after eight years of schooling.
Ruby came to her clinic after being hit by a car. The owner didn't want to pay for the operation that would save her life. Ruby needed to have a leg amputated and the cost of the operation was in the thousands. That is when Leah stepped up big time, paying for the life saving procedure, at a reduced cost, and then adopting Ruby.
You would think that having three legs would have slowed her down, no way.
This is the big hearted Leah with her beloved Ruby.
Ruby passed away this past October and will be sorely missed.
My Key-Subject is BEER, and this one is for the Veterinarian, Leah, and Ruby.
