This is an announcement from the Worldbuilding community due to the recent events taken by Justin Sun and the Tron community against the Steem Community.
and I came to the decision that as small time investors in this platform we have no effective way to protest the actions of Justin Sun and have come up with a solution. Effective immediately the Monthly Map Melee contest is on hold and will not continue until the Justin Sun Tron Team and the Steemit Community can come to some sort of an agreement. We apologize for having to take harsh actions like this, but we feel that we have no options left at our disposal to fight this kind of attack. Stay tuned for future announcements from the Worldbuilding community.
I have also mentioned this on the latest MSPwaves Town Hall meeting run by
Hi, Worldbuilder here. I think we need to take an additional step of protesting through our content. Instead of posting whatever you'd normally be posting, use something like the HostileTakeover tag, and explain that the normal post you'd be putting out is either not going out at all or has been moved off-site to a private blog or competitor. Steem is the community and the content, and we should protest through both. Don't act like business as usual. Hold content hostage. Shut off dApps. Put contests on hold. Engage only on protest posts.
Please show support to the former Steemit members who resigned from their jobs in the past day. That decision was not made lightly. This is their job after all. They have bills and mortgages and needs. This cannot be an easy time in their lives and we should be showing them love. They helped get us here. They refuse to be a part of what Justin Sun is creating and that is a GOOD thing for us.
