WWE is known for their outstanding events in the wrestling organization, they have been in the spotlight for decades with millions of fans all over the world. One of this great event is the induction of wrestlers and some big personalities into the WWE hall of fame, this program was launched in march 22 1993 and it's been active for 30 years now.
Every year, certain number of people are inducted into the hall of fame to appreciate them for their years of service in the WWE and to put their names in record even for generations yet unborn. Many of the lucky ones to get into the hall of fame are retired while some are late but nevertheless they are remembered for the job well done during their time in the WWE. The hall of fame also consists of superstars from different industries who has been one way or the other recognised in the WWE by the management.
As of 2023, there have been 239 inductees,with 127 wrestlers inducted individually, 46 legacy inductees, 18 group induction (consisting of 51 wrestlers within those groups), 13 celebrities, and 9 warrior award recipients.
For the year 2023, Rey mysterio was inducted into the hall of fame for his years of service. He started his wrestling career as early as age 14, april 30,1989 but joined WWE in 2002 and since then he had been at his best, he deserves the honour and i'm glad he got it.
Another inductee is the late Andy Kaufman, he was an actor, a comedian, a singer, a dancer, a performance artiste, and a wrestler. He started wrestling october 20, 1979 and that was his first wrestling match on SNL. He was recognized for his hard work even though he was late.
The virtuous woman, Stacy Keibler also got a chance in the hall of fame, she was once known as WCW's nitro girl before it was purchased in 2001 by Mr McMahon. She managed the Dudley boys during her stay in WWE and also became the executive assistant.
Another lucky inductee is Keiji Muto known as The Great Muta, he is known for pro wrestling. He never technically performed for WWE but he is recognized for his hard work in pro wrestling promotion, he was a japanese wrestler but retired on February 21,2023 after the grand final pro wrestling "last love" event.
The 2023 warrior award goes to the late Tim White, he joined WWE in 1985 and remained in the company till 2009, he died in june 2022 at the age of 68, he was honored for his service in the industry during his lifetime. He was a professional referee of the WWE.
