The WOO Splinterlands promotional tournaments now alternate between the Bronze and Silver Leagues.
This tournament recap is slightly delayed and it actually took place 2 weekends ago. Better late than never I guess? 🤣 This particular weekend was the Silver League edition, which tends to be the much harder one for me. I'll still take part anyway and try my best. Who knows? I might just get lucky.
Once again, to any Splinterlands player who might not be aware, WOO 
It takes place every Saturday (depending on your Timezone) and has an entry fee of just 1 DEC! Yup, you heard right. 1 DEC means the entry is practically free of charge! That means there's literally no reason not to take part at all 😜. There is zero risk involved and all you got to do is show up and have fun, and who knows? You might even perform well enough to take home some great prizes! 🥳

With all that being said, here's a quick overview of my battles and results for last week's WOO SATURDAY SLAM tournament. ⚔️🛡️
For the first time in a really long time, the first and second positions actually have clear winners. I can't remember the last time this was the case. It usually ends up being a really close fight with lots of competitors tying for the first place with the exact same score. The 3rd position was still down to a photo finish result again though. Tie breaker points had to unfortunately come into play in order to split everyone apart. 😱🎉
As for my own score, I didn't actually expect anything at all given that this is the Silver League. My own cards aren't quite at that level and I usually do get anything at all except the fun of playing in a competitive tournament. I finished with a very respectable 10-3 score, just 1 worse off than the many people who tied for 3rd and I managed to score a consolation price of 250 $WOO too! 😱🍀 That is a very pleasant surprise indeed.

Here's a quick preview of all the battles I fought en route to my final placing. Great battles from all my worthy opponents, it was an honour fighting against you. 👍 Whether it's a win or loss, I take every battle as a learning experience - especially more so for any really close fights. 😉
(Once again, there were quite a number of "no-shows" this time round, literally gifting me with "free" wins. Not that I'm complaining though 🤣, a win is a win! 🎉)
