Yesterday during or after the weekly WOO developers meeting, WOO CEO, Bookerman publicly shared the bio for one the male freelance wrestlers that players will be available to earn in 2024.
Freelance wrestlers will only be earned if a landowner has purchased a “training facility” for their city and the kind and (possibly the rate i can’t recall) will be determined by the city’s fanbase star count. As mentioned by the devs and in many posts by others before, this will be a big decider in where players will chose to host their matches. Having a training facility will allow for cities with a lower star count over all, but with 3 stars should have success with this strategy.
The bio introduced us to Evan “Lucky Punch” Williams, a native of Brooklyn, New York that has been known as a boxer for years. However, he’s not that great of a boxer as he lacks finesse and rarely hits anyone with his wild swings and poor footwork.
In the wrestling world he has found some unexpected success due to how his street fighting style has translated over into WOO. And “his relentless aggression and a never-say-die attitude” will keep him around for years to come.
He has been billed at 6ft, 220 lbs, and his wrestling style is listed as a “powerhouse”. Evans finishing move is his “Knockout punch”.
I can see several ways on how this wrestler could be presented and how it can affect the game. My only question is, what is Evan’s rarity? That will help us know what his potential attribute growth could be.
None of this is financial advice, just some thoughts I wrote down.

WOO’S MISSION
Wrestling Organization Online is a captivating play-to-earn business management game that allows players to construct and manage their own traveling wrestling organizations. The game's mechanics revolve around acquiring NFT wrestlers, buying cities, and upgrading facilities and venues. Players must then compete against one another to earn more of the game's token, $WOO.
However, this game isn't just about entertainment; it's also about positively impacting the wrestling industry. Wrestling Organization Online plans to implement NFT versions of independent and retired wrestlers, which will allow players to own a piece of wrestling history. The game's developers are committed to sharing a percentage of the sales with partnered wrestlers, and wrestlers will receive 100% of the market fee for their NFTs.
