[THE WARM UP]
Today is the day when WWE will be hosting the 2023 backlash live from the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
4 things before we get started:
- I definitely should've made this into a video, but i'll do my best to make this an easy read.
- Don't misconstrue the harsh opinions. It's not hate, it's the passion & want to see top tier wrestling.

| MATCH | Seth Rollins v. Omos |

| PREDICTION | If Seth Rollins loses another premium live event, they can throw him away lol he’s been on a heavy losing streak and a lot of his fans from his more serious gimmicks aren’t really too keen on him being the joker of the WWE, at least it’s just me. Losing to Omos does not really hurt him, because of all the great things that he’s done in the past. But I don’t really feel like Omos gains much from beating Seth because Seth has lost so many times consecutively. Having Omos lose by any other way, besides disqualification doesn’t make sense because it does nothing to build up his character. People aren’t really on his side and don’t have a connection with him so it makes all of his matches up to this point, including alone with Brock Lesnar, at Wrestlemania, bathroom breaks. So I guess Seth will win? I don’t really care. |
| MATCH | Matt Riddle, Kevin, Owens, & Sami Zayn v. The Usos & Solo Sikoa -- 6 Man Tag Team Match |

| PREDICTION | Matt Riddle, Kevin, Owens, and Sami Zayn will defeat The Usos and Solo Sikoa. We need the bloodline storyline to continue to progress, and it is heading into the direction of having Jay Uso be the reason why the Usos, as well as the Bloodline have fallen apart. This is the most enjoyable thing that they have going on in the whole company now that Cody Rhodes is not on a title hunt and lost to Roman reigns. I think that Sami Zayn will get the final pinfall on Jey Uso, and after the Sammy, Matt, and Kevin leave the ring. Solo will attack Jey Uso viciously. It will be interesting to see if he attacks Jimmy as well. I would have to feel that Jimmy would have to step in for his twin, or at least be at the hands of the same fate as his brother. |
| MATCH | Bianca Belair (Champion) v. Iyo Sky -- Raw Women's Championship Match |

| PREDICTION | While Im a fan of Bianca Belair inside and outside of the ring, I would like for her to lose the title to Iyo. I don’t really like the Damage Ctrl faction, and I think she will be way more entertaining as a heel. If she keeps the title, we could possibly see her have a feud with Charlotte later but I would much rather now see damage control get broken up. (Damage Ctrl would have to break up if Iyo when’s because she would have to go to Raw leaving her faction on SmackDown). With all of that said, I don’t think that Bianca will lose her belt and she will actually end up winning. |
| MATCH | Austin Theory (Champion) v. Bobby Lashley v. Bronson Reed -- United States Championship Triple Threat Match |

| PREDICTION | While it will be interesting for Bobby Lashley to win the United States championship, I think Austin will retain so that Bobby Lashley can be used for the money in the bank match in July. I don’t think Bronson Reed will win because he is on Raual and Raual already has the intercontinental title being held by Gunther. |
| MATCH | Rhea Ripley (Champion) vs Zelina Vega -- SmackDown Women’s Championship |

| PREDICTION | I don’t anticipate any of the Puerto Ricans on the card to lose (lol) So I will be picking Zelina Vega to win or be cheated to get sympathy for almost winning and having her victory stolen from her. If she wins the SmackDown championship, she will stay with Rey Mysterio and the rest of the LWO & that would send Rhea back to Raw with her faction, judgment day…. It’s just so hard to see her lose the women’s title because she’s been built up so well, and is the most likable individual within her faction. |
| MATCH | Damian Priest v. Bad Bunny -- Street Fight |

| PREDICTION | I anticipate bad bunny, beating Damian Priest, because of Bad Bunny when she becomes a formidable opponent for future uses, and Damian Priest doesn’t have a lot going on right now. If he beats Bad Bunny, it doesn’t really do anything for him. |
| MATCH | Cody Rhodes v. Brock Lesnar |

| PREDICTION | Finally, we have a Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar in the main event. Hopefully we will get a promo of why Brock Lesnar decided to attack Cody and I think the only way to get that promo is if rock Lesnar wins, otherwise I would have to think that Cody Rhodes would win to show that he could beat Brock Lesnar, even though he did not succeed at beating Roman reigns, who has beaten Brock Lesnar, multiple times to obtain & retain the WWE universal undisputed championship. Having Cody Rhodes lose only makes sense if you have him fight Brock Lesnar again so that Brock can say something like, I want you to beat Roman. I wanted to bring out a more competitive side to you, or something like that. But that does not fit his current character gimmick the only reason we have as to why Brock Lesnar attacked Cody Road to us because he wanted to. You can say that Brooke was jealous that Cody was getting another opportunity to become the champion and Braga jealous but that still does not make sense. Why not allow Cody to be Roman so then you could be Cody later? it’s all very confusing and we hope to have more clarity as we get closer to money in the bank and then after that summer slam. My pick is for Cody Rhodes to lose. |

In conclusion, I think it’ll be a great show, after watching SmackDown tonight it seems as if the energy in that building will be unmatched, this will be almost like a Wrestlemania type crowd as this audience has not seen live wrestling, let alone a pay-per-view in a very, very long time. Honestly the energy from the crowd will be it’s on factor in how great this premium live event will be. I may miss most of the beginning matches due to work, but I hope to catch some of it before it ends.
