On October 12th 2019 I received my smartphone from Flipkart. It was Realme XT with 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage. Up untill then I used to change my mobile every eight or ten months, but always my price would be around Rs.20,000/- only. It's because in my thoughts for any mobile above that price is not worth it as there will always be a new generation mobile more advanced than the old one with slight high price.
After Realme XT mobile, my perception of changing mobile regularly has changed. Because it has all the configurations I need, it's fast, Amoled display, snapdragon 712 processor, fast charging with 4000 mAh battery, hybrid sim slot, on screen finger print, except for camera clarity even though it has 64MP camera, but it doesn't bother me much as I don't take lot of pics. Over all it's been great using it. It's been nearly four years and I didn't face a single problem with it up until now.

Just 15 days back, my daughter put it in her mouth trying to bite. But instead her saliva has gotten into the mobile causing the display to damage. It started with a 5mm blue spot to occupy the whole left quarter space. Then after waiting for four or five days for it to go away, I finally decided to go to a service shop to repair it. The service person told me that it's display needs to be changed and there is no option for it to be repaired otherwise.
The price of the display was Rs.2,600/- and I agreed to get it replaced. Finally after one hour of waiting my mobile is back to normal. It's good to see it whole and good. They put some lubber bands for not to disturb the setting of the display. They told me to give some time before removing those bands for it settle. I have done what they said and after that I purchased a screen guard for it if in case it would fall to brake. They applied it. It was working fine, until I opened the excel sheet in the mobile. The selection on the excel is involuntary and I cannot control it.
My mobile was not same after the repair. It feels like I lost something valuable. I'm having thoughts to purchase the same mobile as recently Flipkart made it available for sale. That much I love this model. But due to my financial condition, I am having second thoughts of not buying for now and adjust to what I have now. I can't afford to purchase a mobile right now and that too at the cost of around Rs.20,000/-.
But, today while I was just surfing through mobiles section on Flipkart, I saw a smartphone which has good configurations and it is also at the same approximate price. But it lacks only one thing, it's display is of Full HD LCD display where as my XT has AmoLED display. The presentation is far more smoother and great in AmoLED display than on a LCD display. Smartphone model is Motorola G54 5G with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage capacity and MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor with 6000mAh battery fast charging and 50 MP camera with optical image stabilization.
If only the display was AmoLED display, this would be my next phone to purchase. These total configurations are for the price of only Rs.18,999/-. I myself personally think this as a good deal taking it into budget phone category. I admit that my mobile cost me just Rs.16,199/- because there was an offer on it at that time in 2019. I'm hesitant to buy this mobile with great specs just because on the reason that the display is LCD, but we will always be seeing mobile and seeing it on AmoLED rather than on LCD would make our experience worth while. I know I can't afford it right now, but I can get it if I wanted to by making some adjustments in my financial expenses.
Can anyone give their insights on this issue wheather should I buy it or not?
