La gente en mi tierra se levanta en la madrugada, sale a buscar los motores, para ponerlos en el peñero, a preparar todos los aperos de pesca, para salir de madrugadita a echarse a la mar, ya la red la tienen en el bote, para irse mar adentro a echarla al agua, que con el vaivén de las olas, va armando se el arte de psaca en el mar, los flotadores arriba y los plomos abajo, para darle peso a la red, abriendola para que haga su trabajo; a veces se llevan el bote hasta lejos con el motor, pero muchas veces es apunta de canalete, van Remo y Remo, para llegar al sitio donde tienen el punto de pesca, es allí donde echan la red al agua y después, dos botes más, vienen jalando cada punta, del arte de pesca, hacia tierra, y poquito a poquito, van acorralando a todos esos peces, que se encuentran en su camino y alguno que otro, se enredan en las mallas y otros se dejan arrastrar, cuando las puntas del chinchorro llegan a la orilla, hay muchas personas pendientes, para comenzar a jalar, a pulso. Allí también se reúnen algunos curiosos y otros que piensan que se pueden servir de la pesca, pero sí ayudan y se ve que de verdad quieren echarle pichón a ayudar en jalar la red para tierra, entonces se llevan de premio, uno que otro pescadito y comienzan a templar las cabuyas hacia la tierra y la red hace una especie de saco, que viene arrastrando y que todo lo que está dentro de ella se cerca, cuando llega a tierra se hace un cerrado al cercado, que queda como una piscina y comienzan a sacar lo que pescaron. Después de sacar lo que está en la red de pesca, se lavan los chinchorros y lo vuelven a preparar en el bote, para volverlo a llevar al mar, tempranito en la mañana, otra vez a la faena, esa es la vida de nuestro Pescador artesanal, en mi tierra en un "Jala pa tierra" donde propios y ajenos se hacen del premio que nos da el mar, un tierno y jugoso pescado, que nos los podemos comer frito, asado o guisado.

When it reaches the shore, the enclosure is closed, forming a kind of pool, and they begin to take out what they have caught. After removing what is in the fishing net, they wash the nets and prepare them again on the boat to take them back out to sea early in the morning, back to work. that is the life of our artisanal fisherman, in my land in a “Jala pa tierra” where locals and strangers alike reap the rewards that the sea gives us, tender and juicy fish that we can eat fried, roasted, or stewed.
