En esta ocasión les comparto un recuerdo de una visita que hicimos al odontologo y se coló el que menos nos esperamos. Resiltabque los fines de semana yo iba a buscar a alguno de mis nietosmpara que pasara el fin de semana conmigo, pues resulta que ese fin de semana también le tocaba a mi hijo gemelo ir al odontologo, que es una demás tías. Como cosa rara, fuimos después de buscar al niño, quien miraba todo con curiosidad, mientras Tía Laurys atendía a mi hijo. Daniel prestaba atención alonqje ella le hacía en la boca a Oswaldo, inclusive Tía le puso en la mano el mando succionador, de la silla de odontología, el cual agarró con una destreza y lo accionó sin miedo. Tratamos que viviera su experiencia lo más educativa posible. Después de atender a mi hijo, tía Laurys, le hizo la seña que él esperaba, la de que se sentase en la silla para ser atendido. Entonces, el niño sin temor alguno, se sentó y se puso en posición, abrió su boca lo mas grande que pudo y tía le hizo una revisión completa, para que él ki se sintiera excluido y que aprendiera lo que pasa en la cita con el odontologo. Enviarte también para que no agarrara miedo y que viera de primera mano, lo que hace un especialista en dientes. Tía conversó con él sobre como cepillarse los dientes de manera efectiva, le regaló un cepillo dental y Daniel quedó súper contento de su primera experiencia con la odontología.

This time, I’m sharing a memory from a visit we made to the dentist, and the one we least expected ended up tagging along. It turns out that on weekends, I’d go pick up one of my grandchildren to spend the weekend with me, and it just so happened that that weekend was also my twin son’s turn to go to the dentist, which is a real pain. Strangely enough, we went after picking up the boy, who looked at everything with curiosity, while Aunt Laurys treated my son. Daniel paid close attention to what she was doing in Oswaldo’s mouth; Aunt even put the suction control from the dental chair in his hand, which he grabbed with dexterity and operated without fear. We tried to make his experience as educational as possible. After attending to my son, Aunt Laurys gave him the signal he was waiting for—the one telling him to sit in the chair so she could examine him. So, without any hesitation, the boy sat down and got into position, opened his mouth as wide as he could, and Aunt Laurys gave him a thorough checkup, so he wouldn’t feel left out and could learn what happens during a dentist’s appointment. She also had him watch so he wouldn’t get scared and could see firsthand what a dental specialist does. Auntie talked to him about how to brush his teeth effectively, gave him a toothbrush, and Daniel was thrilled with his first experience with dentistry.
