The photo I chose to share with you is from one of the end-of-year events my daughter attended last December. The school wanted to hold a Christmas party to say goodbye to the students and also to celebrate with the parents.

Esta foto que elegí compartir con ustedes es de uno de los eventos que tuvo mi hija en diciembre del año pasado para cerrar las clases. La escuela quiso hacer una fiesta navideña para despedir a los estudiantes y también compartir con los representantes.

Everything was done during the morning so that everyone would be on their way home by early afternoon. I had a wonderful time that day with my daughters. They enjoyed it so much. My eldest danced with her friends to a song dedicated to Santa Claus.

Todo se hizo en el transcurso de la mañana para que ya temprano en la tarde todo el mundo estuviera camino a casa. Ese día la pasé súper contenta con mis hijas. Disfrutaron mucho. La mayor bailó con sus amigas una canción dedicada a Santa Claus.

They were like Santa's helpers, and although not all of them looked perfectly coordinated, they did a fantastic job. I loved watching them perform; some were more nervous than others, but the important thing is that they gave their presentation and had fun in the process.

Ellas eran como las ayudantes de Santa y, aunque no todas se ven coordinadas, lo hicieron estupendamente. Me encantó verlas hacer su show; algunas estaban más nerviosas que otras, pero lo importante es que hicieron su presentación y se divirtieron en el proceso.

That day, there was great music; I danced a lot too; we ate delicious food that other representatives brought as a contribution. I, of course, brought a cake, and others contributed to the Christmas meal.

Ese día hubo muy buena música; yo también bailé de más; comimos platos muy ricos que llevaron a otros representantes como colaboración. Yo, por supuesto, llevé una torta y otros colaboraron con el plato navideño.

The teachers also gave a presentation to liven up the party and connect with the students. This was a nice touch because it showed that the whole school was involved and no one was left out.

Los profesores también tuvieron una presentación para hacer más amena la fiesta y estar a la par de los estudiantes. Este detalle fue bonito porque demostraron que toda la escuela se involucró en todo el asunto sin dejar a nadie por fuera.

At the very end of the event, to close with a flourish, they invited Santa Claus to hand out some gifts to the children. The joy and the happy faces when Santa called them by name to receive a present were priceless. It's moments like these that make it all worthwhile to enjoy children. I hope they had a wonderful time during the 2025 holiday season.

Al final de todo el evento, para cerrar con broche de oro, invitaron a Santa Claus a entregar algunos regalos para los más pequeños. La alegría y las caritas tan felices al ver que Santa los llamaba por sus nombres para recibir un regalo no tienen precio. Por momentos así es que vale la pena disfrutar de los niños. Yo espero que la hayan pasado muy bien en las festividades de fin de año de 2025.
