El Throwback Thursday o simplemente TBT, siempre ha sido una invitaciĂłn a viajar en el tiempo. A mirar atrás y detenernos por un momento en esos capĂtulos que marcaron nuestra historia. No importa cuántos años pasen, siempre hay imágenes que nos devuelven a un instante exacto, a un aroma, a una emociĂłn, a una sonrisa que todavĂa vive dentro de nosotros. Eso es lo que hacen estas fotos: nos permiten volver a tocar el pasado con la punta de los dedos.
Y hoy regreso ocho años atrás, al cumpleaños nĂşmero 15 de mi hijo mayor, Jorge Luis. En aquel entonces todavĂa era un adolescente soñador, flaco, risueño, con los ojos puestos en una sola pasiĂłn que lo ha acompañado desde niño: el fĂştbol. Siempre con una pelota cerca, siempre corriendo detrás de un sueño que habla en idioma de canchas, gritos de gol y madrugadas viendo partidos. Ver esta foto me recuerda lo rápido que pasa el tiempo… cĂłmo un niño se transforma en hombre casi sin pedir permiso.
En esa imagen estamos nosotros, su familia, celebrando su vida, sus pasos y todo lo que venĂa por delante. Recuerdo esa tarde como si fuera hoy: la emociĂłn, los nervios, la torta grande hecha con cariño y esa alegrĂa que solo se siente cuando uno ve crecer a un hijo con orgullo. Nada era perfecto, pero era nuestro, autĂ©ntico, lleno de amor… y eso basta para convertir un momento en un tesoro eterno.
Hoy Jorge Luis tiene 23 años, y aunque la vida nos llevó por caminos que jamás imaginamos, sigo viendo en él al mismo muchacho noble, fuerte, comprometido y soñador que era a los 15. Ese TBT me habla de tiempo, de familia, de crecimiento… pero sobre todo, de gratitud. Porque la vida cambia, los años pasan, pero los recuerdos como este se quedan para siempre iluminando el corazón. ❤️⚽

The Throwback Thursday —or simply TBT— has always been an invitation to travel back in time. A moment to look behind us and pause for a while in those chapters that shaped our story. No matter how many years pass, there are always images that bring us back to an exact moment, to a familiar scent, to an emotion, to a smile that still lives inside us. That’s what these photos do: they allow us to touch the past with our fingertips.
And today I go back eight years, to my oldest son Jorge Luis’s 15th birthday. Back then, he was still a dreamy, skinny, smiling teenager, with his eyes fixed on a single passion that has followed him since childhood: soccer. Always with a ball nearby, always running after a dream that speaks the language of fields, goal celebrations, and early mornings watching matches. Seeing this photo reminds me how fast time goes… how a child becomes a man almost without warning.
In that image, it’s us —his family— celebrating his life, his steps, and everything that was yet to come. I remember that afternoon as if it were today: the excitement, the nerves, the big cake made with love, and that joy you only feel when you watch your child grow with pride. Nothing was perfect, but it was ours—authentic, full of love… and that alone is enough to turn a moment into an eternal treasure.
Today Jorge Luis is 23, and although life has taken us down paths we never expected, I still see in him the same noble, strong, committed, and dream-filled young man he was at 15. This TBT speaks to me of time, of family, of growth… but above all, of gratitude. Because life changes, the years pass, but memories like this stay forever, lighting up the heart. ❤️⚽
