Over the years we have our own palm trees that we have consistently harvested palm fruits and made palm oil for ourselves. This is done in my village in Benue state although we live in some distant city away from there. There is market for palm products here and if I can get an acre or land not even up to a hectar I can grow palm trees and make a good business out of it.
Although this is a long term project. I also learnt that there are Agric engineered palm specie now that grows in a lesser number of years and has much benefits than the taller growing tress in terms of productivity.
