Being a boss of your own

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy Welcome back, Hive account@tergan. I hope your holiday went well. I'm so glad the weekly prompt is back on track. It's time to get back to work. Every human must have one or two jobs he or she is engaged, as it is not right for one to be idle, as survival will be a bit difficult without a source of income that could sustain one to live the life he or she desires. You can be whoever you desire to be if you are determined. Some people see being a boss of their own as impossible because they believe they don't have what it takes to become a boss.

I once discussed with some friends which one they preferred between serving under someone for a white-collar job and being a boss themselves. Out of the four of them, three preferred serving under an employer for a white-collar job to having their job, which they controlled. The three who prefer working under an employer gave the same reasons, which are that "working under someone gives you a sense of belonging that no matter what, at the end of each month, a token amount of money known as salary will be paid, which will help sort whatever debts that have been owed". This was their response, which got me laughing because they have shortsightedness and couldn't view themselves as bosses.

One of them replied and said, "Any job that isn't paying well, he can easily quit and look for one with better pay and less stress, but if you are the owner of the job, you wouldn't mind the stress or distance; you will have to engage fully." Then I looked at the possibilities of getting a better job in the present condition in my country, and I saw that it was not possible because those with good qualifications are yet to secure a good job rather than someone who has one to manage but seeks another for better pay. Then I turned to the one person who prefers being a boss to serving as an employee, and he made some points that I will love to share with us.

"Being a boss opens your eyes to:-

• Different opportunities that will help you grow your business rather than working as an employee.

• Helps you learn more about different skills that can pave the way for you in the industry of your choice.

• Give adequate measures in protecting and preserving your job.

• Make saving and investment possible rather than refunding debts.

Then after the discussion, I guess all I will want is to be a boss not otherwise because I have a lot to gain which will be for the betterment of my future.
