My today.s story is also about inconveniences, but about health issues.
It goes like this:
my side
- first, symptoms appeared; did not pay attention to them, thought slight sweating during the night and extreme fatigue have something to do with wild weather changes
- then decided that is not weather since next few days I have spent mostly in bad, being tired of even smal physical activity and during the night had to wake up and change all wet PJs at least once
- then food sickness and stomach problems, gallon of water daily and pain in the eyes, all that with borderline fever (around 37)
- then did the rapid test that showed negative but blood test showed positive for antibodies
- then talked privately to a doctor which said those are some of the most usual omicron symptoms
- then decided is better to stay in bed then waiting for hours in front of the public corona office; instead sick leave, I took some days of vacation that are left from previous year.
health care system part
- public health service is the only one allowed to give you sick leave, if corona is proven then 100% of the salary, otherwise, 35% less, like usual
- waiting in lines for hours, outside in the cold, to be tested
- why doing that when for some money you can be tested without waiting and somewhere close to home? because private labs are not allowed to do PCR which is main test for approving sick leave
- after getting positive result in the private lab, you need to go again to public corona offices to verify test so you can get sick leave and they need to test you again with same rapid test bcs not allowed to accept private tests. Then, if you test negative, you need to be tested again with PCR if again negative, even with obvious symptoms, for which doctors themselves say are corona/omicron, based on more than 150 patients daily, you are pronounced clean of corona.
I have talked with more than dozen people who were persistent enough to do rapid tests in private labs until proving positive; some of them tested 3, some 4 times, which is even what lab staff says is happening all the time, different day, different result.

So, some questions are left unanswered here, and I.m sure you already thought wtf.
Tests are discriminatory, yes, turned out, very >:/ In some other circumstances, ability of tests to make discrimination between people into two or more categories is something that good tests do. In this case, they are making discrimination on health and socio-economical base: you can be sick but treated as not bcs test says so, just I am not sure what doctors write in their reports when giving diagnosis and medications; many people cannot afford testing more than once, if even that, which can bring them false results, not to mention if you need to test whole family. Then one decides to go to public doctor, get negative results, and continue going to work or take sick leave with lower income. No one is going to take you in public offices for daily testing to prove positive.
Why they are using tests that are not reliable? And when using them, why they are not treated the same, rapid is rapid no matter what lab did it? And if they serve for something, why retest with PCR? How to explain that PCR shows negative with the person in hospital, on oxygen, with both-sided pneumonia?
Why private labs are not allowed to do PCR?
WTF those people are doing?! We are already in mess for two years, now making more of it because...it became boring and repetitive?
I don.t blame doctors, as they say, we have orders and protocols and under big pressure to comply.
Do you remember good old flu? No one went for testing, dg was just on the base of clinical picture.
Now, some may argue that sym of corona are different every time...ok, there is truth in that, but not all sym are different and as I mentioned, huge number of sick people can give doctors better cues about infection then tests, obviously. For test, one needs to guess the right day, like the lottery...
If someone can find some logic in this please let me know, I cannot. Beside that everything is done on purpose to confuse us even more and focus our attention from something else and collect some more money for tests ofc; none of this goes without some material benefits for those who are making decisions.
Yap, sound like consp theory, but as I said, who can find a different logic...
Not that I don.t believe in science, quite the opposite, I just don.t believe people who are interpreting science and scientific tools.

and we better be Stayin alive ;) and find ways to survive all this corona drama, bcs time is waiting for no one; It.s my life, I just wanna live while I.m alive :)
