Hey friends, so I was scrolling through the community list on the Hive Blockchain. Or should I say, I used the community search feature on inleo. I typed in "music" and saw a couple of communities, but one that stood out was this well-named community Inspired by music.

Yeah, I'm always inspired by music to do most of my daily activities, from working out to getting my projects completed. So I thought to myself, why not just write about one very special song that really hit home with me.
Well, here it is:
Panic! At the Disco’s High Hopes.
This song means more to me than just being a tune. In my times of giving up, this becomes my own personal anthem that keeps me going. This reminds me of my journey and purpose in life and always insists on dreaming big and never quitting no matter the odds.
I didn’t grow up with everything handed on a silver plate (sounds like a cliché, right?). However, let me tell you something; since I was born in this kind of place I had to hope that one day, I would make ends meet. But amidst financial struggles or challenges encountered by me, this was sure for me all along.
Hopes were Super High!
A particular line in the song that says "Didn't have a dime but I always had a vision" really hits home. You see, in life, it is necessary for one to be resolved and never to give up. Materially speaking, there was not much for me, yet my mind was set on the future as I knew that hard work and dedication could turn it into reality.
Yeah! And the support of my parents really kept me going just like the advice given by mama at the song by narrator. They’ve always believed in me and want me to achieve anything I can, especially my Dad. At times when I become depressed or overwhelmed, his voice sounded like Mama’s words:
"Don’t give up, it’s a little complicated All tied up, no more love and I’d hate to see you waiting."
However, "High Hopes" is much more than just about keeping motivated; it further fosters personality as well as individuality. The phrase “It’s uphill for oddities stranger crusaders” tells me that it is okay to be different from others and follow my dreams which might seem strange in someone else’s eyes. This message comes as a breath of fresh air and relief in such a world where conformity is highly embraced.
The song’s happy beat and full-heartedness always help me get into a good mood and spur me on, it sounds as though I’m being given a musical hit of adrenaline to keep on going regardless of how hard my journey may look like.
Whenever I get doubts or letdowns, the chorus:
Had to have high, high hopes for a living. Shooting for the stars when I couldn't make a killing
gives me relief. This implies that failures are only temporary stumbling blocks on the road to success. With determination and perseverance there is no hurdle too high to surmount.
To me, however, ‘High Hopes’ goes beyond being just another song; it is my motivation and inspiration that constantly reminds me that I should never give up on myself as well as urging me on towards greatness in spite of life’s challenges.
Thus, we toast with glasses raised high 🥂 on hope against dreams and relevant matters.
Thanks for having me here, leave a comment and I will be sure to add you as a friend.
