No, Metamask can only be used for wrapped Bitcoin. Wrapped, meaning that it has been exchanged for an asset tokenized somehow for the Ethereum, Polygon, Binance chain, or another Metamask compatible network. For Bitcoin, I personally use several wallets including, Trust wallet, Coinbase wallet, Exodus, Blockchain.com, Crypto.com, Crypterium, even older electron-based desktop wallets. It depends on preference, ledger support, local language support, local currency support, support for ACH withdrawals and deposits Also consider a hardware wallet like a ledger. Find what suits your needs.
