I should point out that the strict adherence to “women and children first” was one of the main contributor to Titanic tragedy.

It lead to congestion, chaos and half filled lifeboats being watered. Many died needlessly for “women and children first”. It was a huge mistake.

Telling that TradCons still used it as an example of virtue.
